I think politically he can remain PM (if Tories win of course). Don't know how the practicalities of the Commons work though.

I don't think there's any dispute (except from gwarred) that it happened. The defence was that being diabetic means you get confused very easily so it's not her fault, and being confused and doing stupid stuff is totally fine for someone who could be in charge of national security tomorrow.

Despite being a liberal lefty communist and all that, I completely agree.

If the exit polls are right, fuck the Labour membership - Corbyn can go fuck his hat.

If the exit poll is in any way accurate, we have no useful opposition at all. Corbyn has to go.

Face it, he's lost to Boris, the biggest liar, the most incompetent, occasionally racist etc etc etc. They lost to him????!

The bulk of the Labour front bench will have to go. They've proven, again, that they're unable to function as an effective opposition and win when the Tories have presided over a near decade of farce and cuts.

But, hopefully the poll is wildly wrong.

It's genuinely fucking staggering.

Less time sucking the cock of the Islington Socialist Worker reader, more time actually, you know, being fucking electable.

If the polls are correct then the knives will be out for Corbyn/McDonell within the labour party which will then cause internal problems because of the Momentum movement. Could be a period of real turmoil for Labour

No. The PLP all turned against him a year or two back, but the Labour Party Membership overwhelmingly support him. I don't see that changing, that's what's sad. Momentum and their ilk will just be like 'one more time Comrade, the fight isn't over'.

I seem to remember a poll a week or two ago predicting 368, and everyone say that was the one to listen to because they called 2017 correctly.

I meant that their fellow party politicians will be trying to oust them but the party members (momentum) will be fighting to keep on going.

Sorry, yes, I read your post too quickly.

Corbyn lost to May too. And lost a no-confidence vote by his own party. I imagine he can lose a few more elections before retiring.

Of course, he was elected by Tories joining the Labour Party for a few quid and immediately being allowed to vote for their new leader. Might be a good idea to restrict voting to members of a yearโ€™s standing as a minimum, like the Tories do.
