@integrale_evo yesterday's Retropower episode might make you slightly misty eyed. There's a Lancia in it!
I know 2 of the patsy buyers from Wheeler dealers past that they'd got in when they couldn't sell the cars legitimately. One walks his dog with Paul (and I've known him since we were 10) and when he came to quote to relay our driveway I learnt a hell of a lot about the show and how it worked, we must have chatted motors and about the show for an hour.KevH18 wrote: Mon Dec 12, 2022 10:20 am
One of Jonny Smith's car cave episodes with Mike Brewer.
I've always liked Wheeler Dealers and thought it actually got better when Ant Anstead took over, which seems at odds with our cat being called Edd China, but the recent ones have been absolute terrible. Mike Brewer seems to be becoming even more of a parody of himself since it came back to the UK but I didn't mind this episode at all. Came across as a proper car person and it's a nice collection of cars, albeit only a small number of what he owns from what he was hinting...
Next video is a sit down interview with Brewer. Not sure when it's coming but Jonny normally releases videos on a Sunday and Thursday if there's two in a week.
My mate bought a Wheeler Dealers car (the Mustang) and he's still in touch with Mike. Met up with him for lunch when he was in California on holiday and Mike was still based over there.drcarlos wrote: Tue Dec 20, 2022 10:08 am

I knew there was someone on here that actually bought a car from them. They do try to find legit buyers and I've seen them advertise the cars on FB but when they couldn't get buyers for one reason or another they had to stand up a patsy. As the show was filmed locally (Edd used to be based about 7/8 miles from me and Paul lives in the same village) they came from the local car crowd.Delphi wrote: Tue Dec 20, 2022 10:12 amMy mate bought a Wheeler Dealers car (the Mustang) and he's still in touch with Mike. I mean.. speeds are ludicrous and the slow motion explanify made it more interesting, but I was most impressed by how the Chiron sounds!![]()
As a rich-boy's track toy - it's really quite a thing.
I’m afraid I will never know.
The way he's holding the wheel gives me hives. Tho I guess at 300 mph you may as well not be holding it at all
David Gould was my next door neighbour when I lived in Newbury. He kept one of the hill climb cars in his garage in the back garden - very nice man who helped me out a couple of times with work on the Mondeo.
It looks like it's on ffwd. Thought it was before I turned on the sound. When was that time set?
