Today's, and to be fair most days', want is this Peugeot 205 T16:

Up for auction shortly. Not sure I can justify buying it. Oh, and the post-2001 font on the registration plate is utterly wrong; something like the font on this period correct 205 GT would be far better. I'm sure you can find someone to make a set up in this format:

& correct wrt the 'plate (+ sneaky XUD in the background). I guess I'll have to browse the rest of the lots now

I've always wanted a Rally Raid 205 T16 since seeing one in the Dakar on TV.
I prefer the longer wheelbase over the Group B, really suited the bigger wheels.
Just don't look closely at the panel gaps and seams, a real butcher job of modifications over the Group B.

That’s cool Nick. Presumably that morphed into the 405 Rally Raid cars - keep the wheelbase and stick a longer car’s body on the frame.
The pre-mad spoilers group B rally 205 T16 would be my absolute favourite. In tarmac spec too; lowered and with fat wheels and tyres.
Something like this:

I think the 405 was a bit bigger in all dimensions. The 205 T16 served as the Basis for the ZX Grand Raid after the T16 Retired

This morning I remembered I want one of these to go next to my mythical Unimog (in a garish colour like orange or lime-green) in my mythical garage.
I see these exect configuration/colour scheme regularly and I can't workout what I like about them or why, but I do:

Erk. Loads of space, but that house had zero appeal. It’s a non pour moi.

Sure the house could do with a spruce up. Or maybe demolishing and starting again. But the land and the car collection.

Usually these type of places auction off anything decent and you’re just left with a pile of metal worth scrap.
Maybe there’s some rare gem there that’s actually worth restoring who knows

Yep, look at picture 10 - you can see the imprint on the grass where a bunch of longstanding cars have been taken away. It’s been picked clean.

Excellent site, that. Thanks for posting
I wonder if; after the 406T16, there were any plans to race the 406 and that's how the coupe came about?

It looks like a murder house. Most houses in America do to me, but this one especially.

I'd still like a Taycan Cross Turismo and I know the value will be in the earlier cars now the facelify has been launched, but I still specced up a new one:
https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PSZSM979
The exterior colour is paint to sample but the interior is in the standard palette

One of our friends got a new Taycan Cross Turismo GTS a few months ago. V nice thing but not much of a practical boot compared to your S6!

Agreed - I guess I'd have to add the £400 bike carrier prep option
If I actually got to the point of deciding a cream and purple interior was the main factor in choosing a car I bet boot space would be the least of my worries
