A bit rich, Trump calling Zelenskyy a 'moderately successful comedian' when the only reason most people know about Trump is because his daddys name is on a few gaudy hotels and he was on a fucking reality TV show, the lowest rung of entertainment.

There's going be a lot the US defence industry sat around with not much to do. I wonder how that'll go down.
And then there's the amount of valuable intelligence the US and allies will have gained over the last 4 years when it comes to Russia and its military tactics. Basically learnt what war with Russia would be like but without actually officially being involved directly.

Trump hates China, the US defence industry will still be churning out enormous ammounts of ordinance in case the Tangerine Turd goes full Tonto, or Winnie decides to cement his "legancy" by blockading Taiwan now before China's demographics go completely to shit in the 2030s.

I guess realistically Ukraine is fucked. They're not getting resupplies for their American gear like Patriot missiles. Don't know how Europe can fill in a hole like that in a reasonable timeframe. Also you'd think it makes all American military hardware pretty worthless for the rest of the world. We have F35 jets but what if Trump can remotely deactivate them all. Poland especially would be vulnerable as they're pretty heavy into American gear and would be against Russia.
It's bloody bizarre* that America is trampling over the policy of aliances that has made it the most prosperous country in the last 80 years.
But it is tragic and shameful that Ukraine is going to be likely partitioned and then made ready for reinvasion in four or five years (just after Trump declares himself President for life)
Poland may have seen the writing on the wall early and have thrown a load of money at South Korean for many many many many things that go boom.
It's an older Perun video with dodgy audio but still relevant
"Poland will have a larger tank fleet than that of France, UK and Germany combined"
*I'm a believer that Trump and Musk are both owned by Putin.

The worry with South Korea is that it has that vital defence treaty with the USA. What's to stop the orange idiot ordering them to pull support from supplying countries fighting Russia. South Korea also seems to have/had a loon as a president. Just another reason that we should be making vital infrastructure in Europe with countries which are in the same geographical area so we all have a mutual benefit against the same threat.

Very much in agreement with you.
Although I was watching something yesterday about the schenaningans of France and Germany trying to "cooperate" on a new Main Battle Tank.
Although nothing motivates cooperation like being surrounded by lunatics and imperialists.

Main battle tanks are a funny one just now. Most militaries had cut back their research budgets for tanks as modern warfare favoured smaller multi use vehicles.
Europeans are kind of scrabbling to get back on track now we’re facing a land war with Russia.

Genuinely cannot believe the shit I am reading each day about Trump. And yes, I know it's Trump and nothing should surprise you, but this is madness.
Constant lies. Constant bashing of allies and democracy. Cracking down on dissent and those who speak against him.
Trump's already trying to break down the executive branch, the legislative branch, and any other mechanism that stops him becoming a dictator, and assume ultimate control of the USA.
And then join Xi, Putin, Orban, Kim Jong, etc.. and here we are in the new age of empire.
All while being backed by Elon. Trump will act as the puppet for Elon and Putin, and then the other oligarchs in America's cooperate hellscape. Only this time, average Joe will have no rights as Elon removed them all.
I'm more convinced than ever that Trump has always been a Russian asset. They flatter him, promise him they'll enrich him and help to keep him dictator for life in the new empire age. He can't resist.

Another thing that blows my mind is how quickly lies and disinformation spread.
I read the other day that disinformation circulates 6x quicker than truthful, accurate info.
Trump states an outrageous lie/Russian propaganda. Completely made up. No relation to the truth whatsoever.
Right-wing media reports it. Then within days, right-wing thickos are repeating this lie as if they've been remotely programmed. And they do it en masse and they truly take it as gospel.
They don't attempt to verify anything. They just lap it all up and become repeat it religiously. You can't get through to them. They're like zombies.
Trump/Farage/Elon could literally make up any old shit and they'll believe it. The toxic power of Fox/Twitter/GB news etc is crazy.

It’s why community notes is a shite moderation idea.
The lie is half way round the world before the truth’s put it’s shoes on as another great American speaker once said

He absolutely has. Everyone knows. I posted this over in the Ukraine thread the other day. The article is worth reading.
Then, in 1987, Trump and Ivana visited Moscow and St Petersburg for the first time. Shvets said he was fed KGB talking points and flattered by KGB operatives who floated the idea that he should go into politics.
On 1 September, he took out a full-page advert in the New York Times, Washington Post and Boston Globe headlined: “There’s nothing wrong with America’s Foreign Defense Policy that a little backbone can’t cure.”
The ad offered some highly unorthodox opinions in Ronald Reagan’s cold war America, accusing ally Japan of exploiting the US and expressing scepticism about US participation in Nato. It took the form of an open letter to the American people “on why America should stop paying to defend countries that can afford to defend themselves”.

Cheers SJ, I'll check that out. It's so ridiculously obvious now. The rant about Zelensky looked like it was written by a true Russian shill.

Yep!
Community notes is ok but clearly overwhelmed but the sheer amount of lies that are being constantly concocted and spread.
Elon gets community noted and everyone seems to ignore it! Oh sorry, does the truth not fit in with your narrative

Trump just wants to get back to a world where he can get as much control and money as possible - Ukraine is just an unnecessary distraction and financial drain. So by sorting that out and giving Putin what he wants, he's happy and doesn't give a toss about the Ukrainian people.
He's been talking about NATO having to up their game and spending for ages, so its no surprise there and makes sense anyway given all that's going on on.
I still can't get my head around news organisations like FOX just repeating lies and disinformation. Its mind boggling.

New movie idea. Trump presidency mk2- it’s all a weird ploy to integrate Tesla ai human replicating robots. Trump is the beta release, and he isn’t actually a human and this is all one big Elon experiment.
In fact it could be “matrix:origins”

The audacity of someone who refused to accept and tried to overturn and election result claiming that someone democratically elected and unable to hold elections because they’re at war is just absolutely absurd.
It just melts my brain that such nonsense can be freely spouted with zero consequence.

The fact that Sky news now has to add “for context” addenda to all Trump’s comments and which basically correct/contradict his bullshit is shocking when they are talking about the President of the United States

Fox isn't a "news" organisation. It is a propaganda/distraction capability serving the right-wing. That's a big part of the problem. The bigger issue is toothless/underfunded/neutered regulators and regulation.

Aside:
This is great trolling, because a lot of of the mentalist-class MAGA nuts really don't like him describing himself as a king, and they're the sort who are likely to turn up to DC with a big rifle because they don't understand that this is "own the libs" PR to upset the news cycle.
Keep it up Trump.
I'm sure it'll end well for you and your cabal.

If we're going with the Trump being a Russian asset then I wonder how much he had to do with the Ukraine invasion. He's said many times that he talked to Putin about Ukraine before the invasion. Wonder what happened when he lost the election and if Putin had enough confidence that they could get Trump to win again on the condition that he then let Russia keep Ukraine and get back to normal trade and relations.
A simple trade for two billionaire buddies with just 40 million people getting screwed in the process.
