If we had moved up north, I would 100% be involved in a bidding war on that with all of you.

Saw a Purosangue yesterday.. the trim around the wheel arches is pretty ugly. Thankfully, this popped up on insta today

Re: Today’s want
That does look lovely. Is that the special black paint that Rolls Royce use? (can't remember what it's called, but supposed to be blacker than black etc. Can I say that?)
Re: Today’s want
That’s not Vantablack, you wouldn’t see light reflecting off the panels if it were.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: Today’s want
I don't think its matte enough is it, seems to be quite a shine off some of it?
All black hides some of the details around the wheel arches that I don't like on the other cars I've seen so far.

Scaglietti's are creeping down into the 40s, possibly mid 40s by the summer if all the doom and gloom is to be believed.

IIRC Autofficina have a good reputation on the Ferrari forums.
Fun fact - I used to work in the little office block literally round the corner from there on the main road. Just a petrol station back then though. Not sure when they moved in.

I'm enjoying the Bentley but I can't avoid the fact I'm a BMW guy at heart.

Sold mine many years ago, but this pic is from 2013!.. can’t believe it’s been over a decade! Great car, I took it camping with ex, two kids and two dogs! All fit in with camping gear in the boot. Faultless, luxurious and felt quicker than the M4 I replaced it with..Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Sat Jan 27, 2024 12:03 pm I'm enjoying the Bentley but I can't avoid the fact I'm a BMW guy at heart.

That's an absolute bargain. I guess they've reached "time bomb" status in the 2nd hand market.
Re: Today’s want
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking - old enough to be cheap, new enough to still be horrifically expensive to fix, because people haven't pulled them apart as much as, say, an E60 M5s so the 'common problems' and cheap fixes aren't really known yet.

Re: Today’s want
I had no idea they’d dropped to that price. Explains the badly driven one which passed me yesterday - they’re within reach of idiots clearly.
I’ve read the turbo 4.4 V8 is even less reliable than the V10 as it ages so do a good bit of research before purchase. Think the Bentley might look like a sensible purchase in comparison…

Re: Today’s want
Yes, it’s easy enough to do a bit of preventative maintenance to change some bearings but not sure what you can do about the cracked blocked and cylinders these are suffering from. Probably better to buy a low mileage one in this case.

Re: Today’s want
Is that an issue here? I seem to remember when my ex-business partner had one it was USA cars that had been modified.
That's a load of car for the money, but I had my XFR at the same time and despite it being six years older I found the Jag much better to drive. The M5 did everything really well, but you had to drive like a hooligan for it to come alive like the Jag did at 5/10ths.
Re: Today’s want
You can't keep the full extended warranty beyond 100k miles must be a factor.
I'd happily pay the £100 a month running one with a warranty though.
