What colour is the D4YKR plated one? I like the look of that.
Is it the same tone as this (spotted at a car meet in July). Don't know what it is called? Creamy Bakelite?
Edit: ignore - I've now viewed them side-by-side on different screens. Not even close.
I think this one is "Infizierter Haarfollikel gelb"

Rumour has it that it was supposed to be called the Stellato, but the name was given over a bad phone line by the PA of the head of Lamborghini (who was PA to the head of Mitsubishi years ago), and they possibly have an unusual accent / spleech impledement.

That's incredible if true, but also peak Italian car design. Love it.

I was a bit anxious about leaving the Tesla parked up for a month while I was away on a sabbatical. Set the battery to 60% max charge and left it plugged in. I wondered if it would need a move up and down the drive periodically to keep anything from seizing up but decided that the benefits of asking Mrs Newt to do this were hugely outweighed by the risks. I needn't have worried as it took me to work and back without any issues yesterday.

Just back from grabbing lunch, no time for exploring today, but the postie did nab me to delivery parcels to half a dozen houses at the top of the hill as the roads up there haven't been cleared or gritted and he's on normal summer tyres.

That’s like a setup for a TaxTheRich episode.
(And I am now realising that the above vids generally took place at a farm…. Hmmm…. I wonder why they own a farm??

Warranty saving the day with the 911 service. The spoiler that wouldn't fully retract on one side needed the "spoiler drive unit" replacing - I think it is effectively a broken clip but comes as one piece (!) with the motors and all the gubbins.
£3,200 inc VAT + fitting - so a £4k repair

I didn’t notice when I fitted them, but the seat heating in the base of the drivers seat wasn’t working in the 530d. This turns out to be a common failure, where the heating wire in the base joins a flexi wire linking it across to the thigh support. It literally burns out.

Stripped, soldered back together and heatshrunk, and I have a warm bottom again. All done during my lunch break. WFH is great.

Looks like you nearly had a rear hotter than after a night wolfing down naga chili peppers
