The Genesis II E310 is £900 RRP! That’s what I’d like but when they’re close to half price at the end of season is the time to buy.
Yeah, reading a few reviews online this seems like the one to have. I'll just have to put up with the shear brutishness of the thing. Let me know if you find a bargain!

They’ve been as low as £520 previously, so I’m waiting until they’re somewhere closer to £500.
Sounds good...

Right, well I'm now in a position to start looking for a bbq for next summer. Yes it will be gas, sorry, but I'm lazy and I'll get more use out of it... oh, the shame.
I'm thinking about a Weber Q3200. I was initially thinking about a Genesis II E310, but when I looked at it in the shop I realised it is a behemoth of a thing. Although a fair bit smaller, the Q3200 would probably be good enough for my needs and is also cheaper. Seems to have good reviews online.
Any thoughts from the non-gas-haterz?
I was intending to get one in the sales too, Weber Spirit II should be pretty much as good as the Genesis but only if you’re careful to about the original Spirit which doesn’t have the cast grills etc. You could always go 2-burner (210) if you think it’s a bit big.
If you do spot a deal, post it!
Personally I wouldn't bother with a Q unless I was travelling. Actually, even then I'd lean towards a Weber Go Anywhere.
I'd recommend the bigger ones (or at least ones with more than one controllable burner) purely as you have more control over the temp. You can run one burner on and the other low or off to create a multi zoned cooking area.

Been really pleased with the Weber Q I bought a couple of years back. Works well and well constructed.

I think you're right, particularly for my needs, as when it's the wife and I we tend to divide the bbq up so I can do veggies for her on one side.

I have a Weber go aswell, when using it on a beach, I use it to cook then dig a fire pit and use the remnants to start a fire. Works a treat in the UK.
Gas-wise, I’ve got a Broil King, which has lasted extremely well over the last 12 years I’ve had it.

They were £572 in B&Q in July, amazingly:
https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/weber- ... ue-3261638 and £559 at WowBBQ last November:

Have you looked at all the variations of each model? The S310 has a side burner, not sure how useful that is (for cooking your baked beans in a pan on the side?). On the Spirit you need the GBS model; that means it has the cast iron griddles rather than the cheap pressed steel enamel ones. I think all Spirit IIs come with them.
Actually going into garden centres might be a better way of picking up a bargain; online prices seem to be almost uncannily similar, as if Weber themselves set a discount which their authorised online sellers all use.

eBay seem quite keen on their 10 and 20% discount codes at the moment. Might be worth a look on their and stick a couple in your watch list and see if a useable code pops up.

Damn you Harry - what should pop up but a Genesis E-410 (4-burner) for under £750:

I'll add that to my Watch list and if I get 10% off might buy it. It's unnecessarily large but it's cool as fuck.

Too big for me I think, but would be awesome.
How does that work with ebay discount codes? They just send them?

Ah, they look good.
I got one of
these which was cheap, ultra portable, easy to clean, did a good job for a few burgers and sausages but doesn't let you close the lid or have two temp zones.

Sometimes they email them out, sometimes they're on a banner in the front page of the app. Usually only last a couple of days and can usually only be used once with a minimum purchase price. Sometimes they're category based and sometimes only apply to certain sellers.

Dunno - I've got one but never used it
It's always the charcoal that gets used.
