I thought the Model S test was excellent, I'm sure they'll put the lap on YouTube. And of course I liked the 260bhp Spitfire.

Yep, enjoyed those bits
Plus had to laugh at the praying mantis shock therapy!

Was nice to see some local roads in the Spitfire/Scooby test too

I quite liked the M-Ute, though of course an electric one should have been painted red.

I laughed. Model 3 impressive.
Early Nissan Leaf values plummet.

I have to say, that although I wasn't a fan of this particular episode, the new lineup does seem to work. They just need better ideas for the episodes and SIARPC needs to just die.

Agreed. No way it was making the quoted 500bhp.

Well that episode made my dad place a deposit on a Model 3 although he was tempted before. I met him at the dealership in Westfield - yes it does have laughably bad panel gaps but it was an early LHD long range version and apparently the new ones are put together better. The online deposit form says delivery is in July but it’s around September in reality and there’s strictly no discount but the dealer eventually gave 1000 miles of free supercharging which is like £50 worth
Props to the staff for knowing their stuff and giving a shit about customer service though.

I saw a Model 3 on a 19 plate on Sunday. Looked so generic it made the Model S appear elegant and distinctive. Like a GTA3 version of a real car. No want whatsoever here, particularly since it doesn’t have the P100d’s selling point of being faster than anything else on the road.

I’d prefer the Jaguar iPace (or is it ePace? The electric one).

This week was pretty meh IMHO. The banter around clothing felt very staged.

Model3 part was indeed interesting - moreso as my mate has had one on order for yonks and it must be due for delivery soon.

And they appear to have dropped the filming of the timed stig laps - which was always the best part for me. Depsite the obvious opportunity to use Harris as a semi-pro driver and move on from the stig as "a thing" ?

The people who preordered the Long Range and Performance months ago and getting deliveries now are paying way more for their Model 3 as Tesla lock in the price once you pay the deposit. Up to them dropping the model 3 Long Range a few weeks ago the LR cost £47,000 and the performance was £56,000. Now the performance is £48,600 and you can get the whole track upgrade pack for £3700 whereas previously just the 20” wheels for it were close to £2000. Plus upgraded speakers and all that are now included in the performance price.

I'll try not to go about it at length because it is now what it is now but I am surprised that they chose those two dullards to go alongside Chris Harris.

They do make him look good as a presenter even though he's not that good (I like him anyway) but he's clearly carrying the show now, for me.

They're probably not bad chaps but neither is good enough at communicating for the job they've been awarded. Maybe the BBC was trying to fill its ever-growing disability quota and took their annoyingly overplayed regional accents to be genuine speech impairment. It effectively is anyway.

They may or may not have a genuine passion for cars, I can't tell. Their banter is shit anyway and presumably that's what they're there for.

A bit sad really but then everything on BBC TV is rubbish now so no surprise.

Bizarre isn’t it - Surely every poll ever conducted put the star in a car bit as the least liked part of the show, and why would you cut the bit showing fast cars going fast?!

Have they shown any laps this season?
