Can’t decide which one I prefer, Macca or Penny.

Macca looks about a foot and half wider than the Evora, it looks quite small in every other picture I've seen
The inter web suggests there is only 100mm in it - but yeah it looks (and feels) waaay wider.
It’s also around 150mm longer. Which (given the Evora is a +2) I wasn’t expecting. LT indeed.

How to make an Evora look boring

Something I’ve always wondered about these- how practical are the doors? Are they a pain in car parks/petrol stations or is the arc not as big as you expect?

So far I haven’t parked the car close enough to anything to cause problems, but yes they protrude out about 12 inches further than the width of the car when open, so potentially problematic. Tbh you’re always very mindful of anything being near the car when going slowly so I imagine you’ll automatically avoid putting yourself in a position where they could bash into something when you open them

Being a 2+2 the doors on the Evora are pretty loooooooong. Which can be tricky in tight spaces. The scissor doors on Pete’s are great by comparison - sideways movement is minimal, and the tip of the glass is about 30cm below the open garage door in my first image when open. Beautiful and practical. Like Beany.

yeah, breaking all the covid rules over and over is very funny...
In all seriousness, I'm presuming I'm the one being sensitive here and everyone else is fine with someone going out with one mate in a car to collect a car, then being in another car with the owner, then letting several local strangers sit in the car, then going to another mates house with their dog, leaving their car there and going away, all during a supposed lock down.
If this had been a random YouTuber, it would be in the Corona virus thread with everyone saying how dumb they were.
I feel silly for making an effort to actually follow the rules now if everyone else is not bothering.

I'll be honest Rich, I agree with you, but the bright orange supercar cheered me up and made me ignore the obvious

Just picking the car up sounded 'ok' but ended up a good example of the risk snowballing...
In fact, did the AA man say any choice words?

Exactly, collect your car, but at least pretend you're making some effort to follow the rules rather that shouting about how many you're breaking.

I have to say I agree with Rich B on this one. Too many people doing what they want instead of what we are supposed to be doing during Covid restrictions.
Love the car but some poor choices made and shown in this thread.

I was keeping out but now the subject has been broached - yes.
In my work I have some insight to the time, effort and money going into trying to get this virus under control and it’s genuinely mind boggling. And yet so many people think they’re special and it doesn’t apply to them.

Car looks incredible...it's only Jan and thats FCOTY 2021 done already
And I'm not saying it's right, and I don't agree with it, but the sad fact is barely anyone cares about lockdown.

In my defence I’m currently testing positive for antibodies using a home blood lateral flow test, so I’m essentially immune to covid as things stand. Also, the ‘mate I went to collect the car with is actually an employee who I work with regularly so in a ‘work bubble’ in a manner of speaking. It’s a bit embarrassing saying ‘employee’ for the purposes of telling the story, but that’s where we find ourselves.
As for strangers sitting in the car, yes, clear breach of the rules/spirit of lockdown despite me not actually being within 1 metre of them, but the joy it brought on each occasion seemed worth it.

Who’s shouting? This thread is about telling a story about an exciting supercar collection, there’s no showing off. Any incidences of rule breaking are just that, incidental - not the purpose of the tale

Why bother defending your actions now? you didn't give a fuck when I originally said not a lot of locking down going on.
