Georg Plasa’s V8 Judd powered BMW hillclimb monster sounds like it’s trying to split the sky in half

Very similar to the style of “Soup” videos I have linked to before - some fantastic stop-motion and Timelapse sequences in this. 8-)

Mad that they stick a big fan blade on at the end - unless it’s going into something that is 60’s or older I guess (?). :?

A lot of classic guys still use them. They’re cheap, simple and reliable. They’re not really about revving and have tons of torque.

Bmw we’re still using water pump mounted fans until the 2010s, but guess everything is electric now for a fractional co2 reduction.

I'm guessing from the two barrel carb and the shitey manifolds that they're keeping the engine as original as possible.

On board at Cadwell in the modified Ford race, I just love the sounds you get from an old school turbo engine.

I mentioned this when it first came out on motortrend but it’s free on youtube. The whole episode is fun in that Discovery car show way but if you can’t be bothered with the whole thing skip to 42 mins to see some incredibly ballsy driving

The TG behind the scenes vid for the AMG One popped up on my feed, was pleased to see young Ollie Kew once of this parish (well previous iteration) presenting. Nice lad, had fun day out at Hethel thanks to him back when he was working at CAR. :)

Nice bit of footage.
Spoiler
Hill is soooo much faster than the No7 car, whose driver appears a little less nervous about potential contact than Hill.... romps off when he does get past 8-)
