No contemplating required. He sounds like a bit of a dick and the car is of no interest to me. Seriously - a 996 C2 Cab?

Just look at it. Nothing else to report. I owe it at least one more track day before I decide whether it's a forever bike or not.
If it's not your forever bike, let me know!
Come and have a go on it Marv. Serious offer.
Marv and Tim having struck a deal

Exhaust bits have arrived, went for boxes as close to the same size as the standard ones as I could find and the bends I think I'll need. Ordered a meter of pipe too although given the length of the legs on the bends probably won't need any of it. Came to £160 all in which seems fair, just hope it's not too loud...

So either mine is a massive fluke, or the "experts" are morons. Place your bets...

You know the popping into neutral thing, well, it stayed in neutral this time.

Mine made it 15 months. The others have quite a bit of time to beat that!

And they've taken it away to burn it?
Seriously - isn't this an essentially brand new, lightly used, covered-in-shite 4x4 that's been used, at most, to mount the occasional kerb?
My Defender-hate continues.

My Disco 3 used to occasionally have a problem selecting Drive. The fix was to stick the suspension on its highest setting, whip the gear linkage cover off, spray it with WD40 to loosen the linkage off, then apply copper grease, and stick the cover back on. Had to do it in a McDonald’s car park once.

Well the clutch made a bang when pulling away, then it was fine for 5 miles. Stopped at red light in lane 3 of a 4 lane roundabout about to enter motorway and it made a louder bang. Wouldn’t go anywhere, clutch went to the floor. One Defender driver stopped and agreed it’s fucked and can’t help me
Service from breakdown cover/police was amazing though.
Called recovery and was advised to call Police as it was in a dodgy place. 2 police cars came within 5 minutes and they said it’s in a bad spot and we can’t really push it anywhere, called a Police X5 who showed up 2 minutes later and towed me 3/4 of a mile to a Travelodge/Burger King. I went in to Burger King to order food and had a phone call from the recovery chap who said he’s only a minute away. All in all the breakdown only cost me 40 minutes I reckon!

I had to drive back from gloucester yesterday without the aid of a clutch in my shitty old series 3. I bled the cunting slave cylinder today and now I can select all four forward gears AND reverse at fucking will with no hassle whatsoever. It's like a new truck ffs.
