I followed a F40 on trade plates through Wimbledon today on freshly gritted roads. Whats even more odd is that I was rat running through residential roads which have speed bumps every 100 yards when I came across it awkwardly crawling at 0.1 mph across them. Had enough after a few minutes and went into an adjacent street

There's a stunning 458 in grey that I see frequently around Ely. I think it lives somewhere on Lynn Road *activate stalker mode*

Another brilliantly diverse and interesting selection as always. There just seems to be so many cool cars there.

Just ambled through Belgravia, as expected loads of expensive cars, and also a surprising amount of Saabs! 900 Turbo convertible, a couple of 9-3s and a 9-3x.

Also a Datsun 280zx. Have fond memories of driving a friend's one in the states.

That last black pick up stands out for me - no idea why - must be the tippex'd tyre lettering!

In this case, Alabama 156947 is the mark of a discerning CG.

Excellent pics as always @Peterlplp 8-)

Yeah same, the kind of muscle car vibe of it and the tray bed are cool.

Although I have no idea what you do with that rear “tray bed” (stealing the phrase from zed). You’d need nets n ropes n straps I assume. (BDSM joke in there somewhere)

i'd have custom bike racks. Though my bro now has an Amarok- mainly for hauling our bikes and it works well over the rear gate.

He has a proper tailgate pad now which is even easier.

A tray back is totally normal in Australia, I assume NZ too. Maybe just a cultural thing.

It's usually for carrying stuff that's a uniform shape but big enough to be awkward in a normal pick up bed, pallets, hay bales etc. Drop side beds are more practical as you need to strap in anything as you say, but the tray beds are popular as an aesthetic choice in Aus and NZ.

I looked up the hilux and it's registered as a 4000cc petrol so there's probably a nice 1UZ under the bonnet.
The flat deck ute thing always used to be for farmers to madmax customise on the fly to carry anything. The decking (wood, box section, chequer plate, trench plate, a mix of them) is cheap and easy to replace so it doesn't matter if you gouge the shit out of it or tack weld some tie downs where you need them.

The rear end has a strange combo of leaf springs and what looks like coil overs as the damper which I’ve never seen before - could work as a cheap way of adjusting the ride or maybe they intend on loading it with something extremely heavy.
