It'll be a good one I can tell. It was ordered on my birthday!

Cool, that makes another connection. The previous owner - who had it from new - lives/d in Andover, and I used to work in Andover. Name, birthday, Andover. It's all fate
Currently pondering whether I should just buy the black seats and then keep an eye out for a black lower dash to complete the set.

Passenger seat back cover plastic has started to melt a bit due to rear seat being set on fire
Dirty but doesn't look torn. Even including the delivery it's not much more than the black set, seeing as the Cayenne is broken and I'd need to hire a van / spend half tank of diesel & a day on the road to get it.

Leder seats
Edit - just noticed its from Estonia, and clearly from a RHD car. Odds on it being stolen?

Description talks about driveshafts from gearboxses (sic). Didn't know seats had either.

Remarkable condition on the interior given the mileage

Exactly that thought crosses my mind every time I see RHD parts listed from a non-RHD country, yes.

You'd be surprised - that's how electric seat adjustment works, in a (somewhat) roundabout way.
It's kinda fascinating.

That really has every option except anything that might make it look better! Very SD spec!

Are you related to the seller?

Ask again in about a month?
Harsh, but
SJ, if you take the back seats out you'll have more room for the things you have to take to Koeln. Don't worry about it leaving an empty hole for the trip back, just purchase some comfort seats to collect en route.

And that has crossed my mind A set of seats from a LHD car should give me a near-mint drivers seat. I don’t know if there’s any differences to the electronics for L/R ? Or just some coding ? The seats themselves might need to know which one is the driver’s. Technology stuff.

Except it’s not a 4 pot diesel, so it’s better than sd spec

a BMW with the badge number matching the engine size must be a bit of a rarity these days! I had to double check just in case it was a 2.0 4 pot turned up/down a bit like they seem to do with every other model!

Come on, I do cling to some standards. A 4-pot engine does not go in a luxury car.
BMW were particularly bad on the F10 - early 525d & 528i started as 3-litre 6-pots, then quietly got changed to 2-litre 4-pots.
I'm thinking my car was probably a BMW demo car. The order date on the paperwork is May 2010; the F10 only went on sale in Mar 2010. It's a weird spec, loaded up with all the tech that was available to show it off, but keeping the standard SE looks & interior. Sat in the showroom for a month or two then sold ? It's one owner from new, it wasn't pre-registered. And coincidentally, the latest 5-Series, the G60, came out last year. This one was traded in with Dick Lovett, possibly against a new ex-demo one !

It may have been specced to show off options to the dealer network. I had a couple of F10 courtesy cars in July/August 2010 and they were both SEs highly specced up; I don't think the MSport version was launched until late 2010. Adaptive drive is the option that stands out to me; that's the active anti-roll bars, ridiculously rare to see and from my E61 experience, absolutely transformative. Nice find. Hold out for oyster comfort seats; and if you put some nicer alloys on it would make a massive difference. Pics of my two courtesy cars from 2010:

Ah ! That makes sense. Must have been a demo car.
Agreed on the adaptive drive, and the rear-steering is interesting too. Definitely noticeable even on a simple test drive but I need to do more miles before I decide whether it's a good thing.
This is a nice visualisation. Effectively some oversteer when moving slowly, and the ability to sort of move the car sideways when changing lanes on the motorway. It'll certainly be interesting to try out.
