From the same sale I’m watching this. A 360 with an astonishing 988 miles on the clock. Sounds like it was sat literally untouched for twenty years.

I see that one also has the electric deplorable side steps. To ease one's egress from one's vehicle.

It also appears to be listing a little. Maybe as a mark of respect? :?

Really rare to see a Brera of any type on the road, but saw a Prodrive the other day and they still look great. I mean, this one looks to be a massive money pit (MOT seems to suggest new brakes all round, new tyres, rusty something - subframe, maybe) and no doubt various others....bit of trim in the passenger footwell doesn't do it any favours either  But 1 owner for the last 14 years and 125k miles is good going.

Not to mention £700/year tax and <20mpg.

There was a video from Italia Auto last week looking over a customer's Brera 3.2. That definitely had money pit written all over it with dodgy repairs, bad paint, wheels beyond economic repair and much else. They still look cool though.

I'm sure that tax has done for many a car that would otherwise lived on as someone's second or third car when the mpg wouldn't have been an issue :(

I like that loads. Would change the wheels for a set of original five spokes, but otherwise that's sweet.

Yes, lot of effort to do that to the Peugeot steelies when plenty of original Volvo alloys would fit and look great.

The Rover seats jar a bit.

I've always had a want for this model of Scimitar.

Leave the paintwork exactly as it is with the addition of a couple of door number circles and a few faded retro motorsport decals here and there for the retired ex racer look. Who fancies driving it from Southall to Sheffield for me? :D

Might be my eyes, but aren't those Mercedes centers in the wheels? Can't zoom in on the picture.

Look like they’re off Mercedes Sprinter - odd choice.

Bit pricey though
I just commented on that on PH, I love it. Had similar plans for a 240 kicking around for years.

If you're serious, and want to cover my fuel costs + a McDonalds lunch, I could trailer it to you. I've a soft spot for Scimitars and have time on my hands atm, it'd be good to see it saved.

(petrol Cayenne @ not much over 20mpg when towing)

Indeed. I've been looking at some cars but £1500/year (tax/insurance) just to keep it legal before you even start looking at running costs makes for some expensive cost-per-mile.

A very generous offer, thank you. But there has been a flurry of bidding today and it looks like it will probably go past my "can afford to risk on a shed" fund :)
