Same here. Shouldn't have be included as a part of the Emira Euro trip series, IMO. Fine on its own for Pagani fanciers.

I thought it was really interesting - especially where Harry was offered a manifold upgrade many years ago for over 100k.

Also the his Lotus does sound good - looking forward to hearing it when run in.

Lotus looks great and sounds better. Looking forward to the post run-in video.

The Pagani bit should really be a standalone video as it's nothing to do with the Lotus. Nice to see Harry geeking out as ever though.

PS those polo shirts Lotus seems to make their employees wear never seem to flatter the fifty-something car nerds forced into them....

Don't get your hopes up guys, the next vid is in the same mould as the Pagani one about that Ferrari SUV. You have to wait until Sunday for the actual Evora content... Harry is really milking this!

I imagine there must’ve been a smartly dressed man with a garrotte just off camera at Ferrari. Good looking

Also good of Ferrari to make a practical family car that’s going to cost £20k for a filter change.

I'll take a Rangey and a proper Ferrari instead I think. I'm sure they'll sell a bucket load though, I imagine to the kind of people that walk around in Ferrari branded clothing (no offence to anyone here)!

17.5 min video. I watched a total of approx 1.5 mins.

That bonnet was the size of a house.

The interior controls with that little touch screen disc looks fiddly as fook to me.

That Ferrari looks very nice in some colours. In Rosso Corsa with those wheels, it looks feckin' dreadful. What in holy hell is going on with the wheels, the arches and all that?

Hmmm don't hate the Purawang as much as I expected. I'm sure I'll change my mind once I've seen one driven badly by some cockjockey through the city.

"They've done some very clever things with the suspension"

+

23" wheels

I wonder if it's frustrating to the engineers to have to come up with clever solutions after the stylists demand 23" wheels?

The Purosangue is a horrible thing IMO

It is! Or dynamics "needing" wheels another inch wider on a shed to improving "handling".

The not-an-SUV probably as the best of noise control tyres and maybe even active cancellation running through the stereo.

I suddenly realised that the name translates as Pure Blood

Which seems ironic.

Good video. By the end of it I think any desire I had for an Emira was sated. The tramlining would annoy me; one of the things I loved about my Elise was the way it would track completely straight over roads with terrible lumps, bumps and cambers despite the steering wheel moving around a lot in your hands. The engine sound began to grate quite a bit by the end. And it started to look like a generic GTA model of a sports car rather than a proper Lotus. Give me an Evora over this, please.

I still think it looks great - it's prettier than the Evora for sure.

But Harry's Evora comparison comments rang true for me - in my head the idea of upgrading for a newer interior, prettier looks and slightly better handling isn't really compelling. Other than swapping an 8yr old car for a brand-spanker of course.

I'm also mildly frustrated that the later V6 with the bigger 'charger only rev to 6800rpm, whereas mine runs to 7200rpm. With the original headers on mine was softening at the top end, but with the 2bular headers it pulls hard to the redline. In addition to the fun factor, this obviously drops vMax a little in each gear too. (I say that, but I am pretty certain @Maurice doesn't feel short-changed in his 430Exige).

As mentioned in the Emira thread - I was also amused when he highlighted that the Emira cost 65% of the options fitted to the Fezza 296 he had on loan recently. Lolz.

Click to take you to the time that he mentions Evora

I'm aware of him mentioning the Evora - that's the reason I commented as I did. I agree the Emira is objectively prettier than the Evora but the Evora is more distinctive; the Emira looks really generic, like a cross between one of those early-90s British sports cars built by few men in a shed (Ascari, maybe) and a modern Korean one. There's probably a lot more space behind the (front) seats in an Evora too, despite the numerous references Harry makes to the usable space in an Emira.

There most definitely is.
