Did knocking their door yield a result, or are they TAUCs?

A bit passive aggressive but totally above board :D
I was about to suggest this, or a scooter etc.

Ask the neighbour whose car would then be half a car away to move it forwards, taking the space so that when they come back with the other car there isn't anywhere to put it.

Alternatively, PTLB.

My Mams like this, she lives on in old Victorian 2 up 2 down terraced street house and moans when someone is in ‘her’ space- she lives in the end house and the parking bay has a raised section at either end- she can park on that so it basically means she’s the only person with a guaranteed space outside their own house, but that’s not her space and will move her car as soon as whoever had the cheek to park in a public bay moves

Got to be the solution.

Could be worse. This is what they do in Gloucester.

I though parking in front of dropped kerb was verboten anyway?

Bit of a grey area, you shouldnt park in front of a drop curb as drop curbs are put in for access, but where they have marked their space there clearly hasn't been any access for several decades so I'm fairly sure if ticketed you would be able to argue that although it's physically a drop curb it has lost its practical status as one.

Isn't the dropped kerb access rule something like you can’t block access onto a drive, but it’s OK to block someone in? i.e. You’re not allowed to park across an empty driveway but you can park across a driveway with a car on it?

I think it’s the other way round, but don’t do either, obvs.

Either way it’s an arsehole thing to do.

For a while we had a lot of problems at my parents place. They back onto a school and parents seem to refuse to walk an extra 20 metres here and there.

My Dad was late for work a few times so lost money as he was on the clock. Luckily he had a friend nearby on his shift so had to ring for a lift on occasion. If just block that person in with the Landy and wait for them to knock on people’s doors and then talk to them about it. They’ve had the raised beds driven into on loads of occasions too.

Parents seem to be a hugely entitled group it seems.

Any car knowingly blocking a drive or someone in should be able to be moved however is necessary.

Dave!
