I'm assuming you mean 29 as the highest recorded temp in the UK is 38.5 in Kent!
This is specifically for car temp readings - so inaccuracies are to be expected. Sort of the point.

Me mate Karens Polo recorded 43degC down in Devon
Either way, I'm 10 miles form Stockton and my car temp hasn't gone above 26 all day.
Air temp here has only just dropped to 26°now

JL; I know heat can feel different, humidity etc blah blah blah, but fk that

For the love of god, man - at least give it a wipe over once in a while
😂😂 It didn't take long for comment!

29C here still. And damn humid.

It was 30.5C when I left work at 6pm. I think that's a record for dash temp recorded in the 330i in 7yrs (in this country anyway). And that's a moving temp, not the temp when first switched on after all day in the sun

I think that symbol means the washing up bowl is full.

Yeah it sucks but won't last forever. Tbh as long as you can park in the shade the car's a/c does the rest. If it's been in the sun - fuck it - just let it run for 10 minutes first. There's always a workaround.

Where do your cars have their temperature sensor?

I think quite a few have theirs on the wing mirror so it's often sat in direct sunlight. I know my mito one is. The old e36s have theirs in the side of the brake duct fed from the bottom of the front bumper, they're pretty well sheltered from both engine bay heat and direct sunlight and seem to give a pretty accurate reading.

Most sensors are very buffered as well so you don't see the reading bouncing around all over the place as you drive, it can take a while for a sensor to drop to its true reading.

No idea where mine is on the Audi but it's normally accurate to within a degree of what the forecast says.

It means the guy who services it didn’t switch the service light off and it gets used too much to bother getting it switched off

On the location of the temp sensor it’s in the front grill I believe so sat in the sun, when driving it went down to 34 which sounds about right for how it felt

My GT4 always reads well over the actual temperature. I’m currently in Zurich on a bit of a road trip and it was reading 52.5 celsius earlier today. In Kent a couple of days ago it said 45 celsius.

Similarly there are other elememts of the infotainment which are woefully sub-standard. All compared to my golf (both 2016 model cars)

1. The bluetooth phone system takes ages to connect
2. The digital radio signal is poor
3. When a phine call finishes it can’t figure out whether you were listening to spotify, or itunes, or the radio etc. Very annoying
4. All the buttons have a horrible loud, plasticky click to them

Arrived here and sat on top of us for about 15 mins (hence me being awake)

Likewise, it's pretty fucking impressive, but annoyingly loud and bright and has been for the last half hour or so!

I am, of course, sitting at my bedroom window watching it 8-)

It's just passed right over the top of us. Bloody dog goes crazy barking like mad! Been watching Deadliest Catch waiting for it to FRO whilst trying to keep the mutt calm.

Yet here all that's happened is the wind's got up a bit. I think it must have passed us by.
I think I'd've liked it to freshen the air a bit before it gets scorchio again.

Driving this morning before the sun comes up: -

Get in the car and it's 19.5
Driving through Reigate it's 21
Driving on the M25 it peaked at 24

All with no sun on the car and moving freely with good airflow.

Yesterday it peaked at 34 'on the move'.
