I heard about the f1 fans thing recently too, maybe it was that jay Leno vid?

Anyway, I don't think it's true at all, the fans would have to be huuge and deafeningly loud to create any sort of 'suction' could certainly be used to help reduce a high preclude area and reduce lift, but suction on a relatively tall road car? Doubt it.

I think I first heard of it on some YouTube video like that.

It’s a woefully dated concept now isn’t it? A city car with a 51 bhp petrol engine and 16+ seconds to 60mph. Any small electric car is better.

Cool, so sticking only to the published facts, there was alegedly a sale to a mystery buyer 6 years ago, but since then there’s been no production models, no updates on the sale or any progress with the models and currently all that exists is some a very old fashioned concept cars.

You seem determined to prove a point here Rich, but I’m not sure what it is.

He built the car to show off the production method, then sold the designs. So from the POV of Murray that’s a success no?

If the manufacturer didn’t then make the car that’s their decision. Companies work on designs and concepts that never make production all the time.

if they did sell the design, then sure. Personally, I think it’s all part of the GM self-promotion train - but I’m more than happy to be proved wrong.

the more I read, the more I think this whole T50 concept is just an elaborate promo for GMD rather than an actual car.. and all because of TVR.

I think GMD had all their eggs in the TVR relaunch - the T25/27 Had gone nowhere, the i stream concept was now public so not much to be sold, but the Griffith would (and still could I suppose) be the perfect proof of concept for GMD being involved in bringing their I stream construction to production.

They made a big loss as a company last year (probably investing too much in the TVR design) and now desperately need a boost. Wheel out one of GMs old sketches, get Cosworth to join in (the relationship is there from TVR), let the press jump on it and try and forget about the TVR losses and get new customers for the design firm.

I lost all hope years ago when I saw the logo to be honest
