Go for the second one. T tops are cool and the first one looks stupid.
Yeah, but both will end up with a similar stance to the blue one in the video.
But t-tops are cool.

Is it really worth going through the effort and cost of importing one? There’s a white t top on eBay at the moment for £5.5k - looks a bit shit, but it’s here and you could start working on it immediately rather than waiting how ever many weeks it takes to import one.
Hmm, possibly worth a look except for:
I won't tolerate timewasters/tyre-kickers/non-payers. I am happy to take serious potential buyers for a test drive but I will not let you drive it until full payment has cleared and ownership has been signed over to you. If you're not going to come and collect the car if you win the auction then don't bother bidding, as it's a waste of everyone's time.
I like how he’ll “let” me drive it once payment has cleared and ownership transferred. Sounds like a complete dick, and the stripping the fuel injection and fitting that horrendous street scoop conforms it.
It is a good base, though, hole in the bonnet excepted.

I’m sure there’ll be others to choose from !

There’s a scabby 4th gen Z28 up for £3k on eBay. I like those, too. Chucked in a cheeky offer of £2k

Oh and I think the plan is ace BTW.
The only downside of this plan is my complete inability to follow through on a plan.
See it through, it'll do you a load of good.

This whole plan is about as likely as Ste's Viva.

Yeah, I want a 3rd gen really. But I’d take the 4th for £2k

Aye, if it's an LS one and it's a decent runner it might be worth getting for the running gear anyway.
Run around in it til you find the right Gen 3 then switch.

It’s an LT1 auto but it has a fruity exhaust

Meh, the Viva cost less than £2k, the SLR sold for more than 10x that. It was a bit of fun and the kids loved it. It was a stop-gap bit of fun at the end of the summer before I needed to clear the decks ready for the house stuff.
Having said that, I'd have kept it if I had the space as I really enjoyed using it.

Had an offer of £4650 rejected on the 3rd gen. I’ll try again in a few days.

I should probably measure my garage before I commit, too. Camaros are apparently 10cm longer than a Stagea

All that extra length is needed to carry the mandatory mullet.

Was just posted by a garage that trades in American stuff. This with an LS (presuming it doesn’t run) and airbags would be just the ticket.
