Most on here are middle class, except a few who probably rank in the upper class. I don't think that there are many here who be in the working class band.
This is not really a representative group of the country as a whole, the figures will be skewed towards, Lib's, Greens and CUK (that just fucking ironic as they seem to want to keep everything the same) i'd imagine as they are the parties that will maintain the Status Quo which suit most of us.

I always had you down as upper class, Dave!
Seriously though, I expect the best we can do is upper middle unless there's some seriously posh forumites that are keeping under the radar

I did once pop some lime in my beer if that counts.

If it was Roses lime cordial and the beer concerned was Duchy of Cornwall organic ale I think (though odd) we can give him a pass.
Desperados or Corona, not so much.

Zedleg, Beany...
There are lots, your status doesn't matter, your view counts as much. I've learnt lots on here from people different from my stance in life. Hey they shout a lot but that's ok

With class mobility I wouldn’t say beany is in the working class, I would have thought statistically he moved to middle class but I maybe wrong and don’t want to autopsy his life to prove it. I’d probably say Dave falls into the same bracket after all he’s a skilled engineer who travels the world to ply his skills, but again not sure. Not sure about zedleg though as I haven’t really read too much into his life where Dave and beany have been on here probably going back to snitz like me.

I don’t think the class system can be applied these days without subdividing it into many smaller classes. Someone told me the modern definition is that if you work for a living you’re working class which encompasses almost everyone apart from scroungers and heirs.
Then again it all means fuck all really.

The class system gets more blurry as time goes on. I think middle class these days means lawyers/doctors, kids at fee-paying schools etc. I’d say that’s a high standard of living compared to the majority and not ‘in the middle’.

Nah. For me it's simple.
*Typical*
Working class = work with your hands or for the 'man', drive an average car, live in a semi or terraced house.
Middle class = Work behind a desk quite high up, drive a Range Rover or XC90, live in a detached house or semi in posh street.
Upper class = Work wherever you like, Drive or be diven in a big Merc, live in Kensington or similar/Country house, wear a ring on your pinky, probably red or mustard trousers too.

I'm working class by Gwaredd's criteria. Ooh, edgy.

It’s also a very outdated way of thinking

Gwaredds got the red trousers correct
Working Class - can appreciate meat in a tin.
Middle Class - mocks people who eat meat from a tin.
Upper Class - doesn't even know meat comes in a tin.

Class has definitely changed, if we still have such a thing, for example those scrounging on benefits but more than capable of work make up their own ‘class’. Everyone who’s in a job isn’t really an indication any more, a job is a job and that’s seen as decent thing whether you’re a cleaner or running a very successful business. What does seem to be more appropriate is whether people can afford to move out, stop renting and own their home or get stuck along the way and be reliant on either renting or inheriting their ‘own’ home.
Then of course there’s those who never have to work a day in their lives and treat 100 grand like it’s 100 quid.
