This year I learned that Icelandic Horses are the only horses in the world that have 5 running gaits - only they "tolt". (Look it up on the choob).
Also Iceland are so paranoid about cross-breeding diluting the purity of the population that if you take your icelandic horse out of the country to show it - it is a one-way trip. No returns.
Apart from the fact that all horses are very expensive to own, and that small ones can bite your arse, this sums up pretty much all I know about horses.

Seeing a horse ‘masturbate’ is hilarious.

I have never seen this.
I have no desire to ever see this.

When working out feeding costs, dentistry, living accommodation etc for Mes Granite it was the equivilant of having 4500 hamsters.
I’d take the Hamsters.

They don't taste nice...
im not sure that you should be eating Shetland ponies.
Couldn't tell you what type of horse it was - It was just "Cavallo" as the Monday "Meat" dish in Mirafiori when I worked there. Tuesday's Salsiccia was much nicer...

Find the right one and Horses are great. They’re like humans in that most are utter bell ends, work shy or grumpy but you come across that odd one which you click with, has a sense of humour* and you’re good mates

I’d have another one but they are chuffing expensive and then there’s the horse tax.
*I had one that always made a point of standing on your feet after they’d had new shoes fitted. Not hard, but firm enough so you couldn’t walk away, and then he’d rub his face up and down you. Would also eat chips and smoke.

Yep. Would beckon you to stand next to it with a cig and he’d inhale the lot. One chilled horse.

This thread reminded me of that scene from Silicon Valley with Jack Barker

It was certainly....graphic.
Probably best you don't Google it at work though...

Ate horse steak when we visited Iceland. Wasn't bad, but not as good as beef.

Dartmoor pony is very good. I actually prefer it to beef.

I suspect that wasn't it, but worth noting for the future.
