My dad's 14 plate Audi A4 has probably the worst interface to find the setting to change the time.

Surely it changes itself? I don't think I've been in a car made since about 2004 which didn't just pick up the codes from the radio broadcast or wherever.

Only things I changed manually this year were one clock in my study, the oven (which is always wrong anyway, but I try) and four quartz watches.

I've never owned a car that automatically updates the clock. Most interfaces are quick and easy but Audi's previous gen is shocking poor.

Perhaps you are used to the interface but for someone who don't use it everyday, it's confusing as fuck.

The X5 has a selectable auto-update on the date/time; it was deselected for some reason.

The M135i has the same. It was on auto update and time would not change. I changed it manually then put it back on auto update but it reset itself back an hour. Therefore I just change it manually every year now.
