Back in the day I think I'm right in saying you would never have even considered meeting the internet weirdos you chat to online. Times are a'changing!
He was just waiting until you moved a safe distance away.

Drop into the conversation that you're visiting relatives in Gloucestershire and test out my theory ;)

I’ve met a few people off here over the years, mainly buying stuff from them though. There’s plenty of weirdos on here I’d never consider meeting though....

I've peaked at 4 so far which can't be better than 1 for each year I've been on here (if that)

I'm still pissed off that I missed the driving meet up Jobbo (I think) organised last year on account of the stupid bint on my street ripping half my front bumper off :(

Anyway, I want an excuse to poke around Ian's Ferrari so get involved people!

Most of the people I met not longer post, with the exception of Mr Madden, but it was so long ago it pre-dated me having kids and my eldest is 17 this year!
If I'm not considered too weird I'll keep an eye here as Church Crookham is only a 10 minute drive for me. I might even have fitted all the parts to the car and have it mapped by then.

Erm.. I was planning on bringing the M4 - it’s done an embarrassing amount of miles in the 6 months I’ve owned it! 😳

Pfft. Did I mention I was busy in April

Is this you being in denial that there’s something broken on the f430 and you don’t want to admit it? ;)

How pathetic is the mileage you’ve done in the m4? Worse than the 600 miles I’ve done in 2 years in the Saab?!

F430 is just back from a service - all good at the moment. It’s been out every day since I got back from St. Lucia, although only to Guildford today so wasn’t able to stretch its legs.

Think I’ve done about 600 miles in 6 months in the M4.

Where are you then? Didn't realise there was another one of us in this neck of the woods.

Chequers at Well could be good in that's it's local, though I don't know what the food is like. That's on my regular* cycling route.

I'm in Yateley, mum lives in Church Crookham so I'm over there a fair bit.

I went to a meet years ago in my old Civic VTi (black 3 door hatch) where we met up at the council offices and drive to a pub somewhere, SteveB also attended in the Seat V5 (Toledo I think), I think you may have been in a 306 Rallye.

I’ve eaten there a couple of times. It’s quite good. The roads are quite narrow around there however.

The anchor is probably better - also true about the roads - we'd need to head off south in the direction of midhurst/south harting/lavant, etc. I would reckon if we wanted a good drive out afterwards.

Open to other suggestions - those were just the only two decent pubs I personally know around that area. Where are your preferred driving routes around you, Ian?

Anyone else think GG is a bit overkeen to be car fwends with Ian? He's already had his front door smashed in, I'm not sure he wants the back one doing too.

I laughed at that far harder than I should have.

Also, somewhat seperately, since when have evening track events been so cheap? I've obviously been missing out, thinking I'd have to drop £250 (and fuel, etc) to do a trackday.

I might have to look into these.

That was a while ago! Small works -my wife’s parents live in Church Crookham (she went to school there) and her sister lives in Yateley.

Maybe you could turn up and bring some lube, again.

Because that wouldn’t be weird.

I can't remember who it was asked me to bring that, I think it might have been Jobbo. I certainly left with a lot less than I arrived with anyway :)

Jobbo must be a very considerate lover.
