Fuchs on a Cayman
Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
The nearest I've come to liking fuchs style wheels on a modern Porsche is probably these (admittedly derivative) ones on a GT4. That said, I still think the standard GT4 wheel is much better

Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
Dear God man - those are one step away from being these:

Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
I like the fact that the red eyes on the bear make it look like some undead-zombie-bear - presumably not what they had in mind.

Those are even worse. FFS.GG. wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 10:19 am The nearest I've come to liking fuchs style wheels on a modern Porsche is probably these (admittedly derivative) ones on a GT4. That said, I still think the standard GT4 wheel is much better![]()

Fuchs look great on a 911 Sport Classic:

Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
These alloys on a 991 are quite Fuchsy, but more modern. They look fantastic; they also come with black spokes and silver rim for a more traditional colour scheme:

I'll take the black spoke version but can I not have my Cayman in polished turd brown?Jobbo wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:08 am These alloys on a 991 are quite Fuchsy, but more modern. They look fantastic; they also come with black spokes and silver rim for a more traditional colour scheme:

Maybe this is a better illustration:

Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
And funnily enough I absolutely hate those! They just look so heavy and lumpen. Better in the black version but still not great.Jobbo wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:08 am These alloys on a 991 are quite Fuchsy, but more modern. Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
We went through 1980s white being popular, then 1970s turd brown and gold colours so presumably the 1960s is up next - what were the predominant colours then?Jimmy Choo wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:17 am I'll take the black spoke version but can I not have my Cayman in polished turd brown?
Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
My instant thought was yellow, for some reason.
Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
Don’t like Fuchs on modern Porsches apart from 997 Sport Classic. (JIC) That GT4 above is awful.

Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
The Sport Classic is lovely. I actually don'y mind the wheels on the Martini Caymen (but it probably wouldn't be my choice) but the first one looks awful.
Re: Fuchs on a Cayman
Which brown Cayman are you referring to?Jimmy Choo wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:17 amI'll take the black spoke version but can I not have my Cayman in polished turd brown?Jobbo wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:08 am These alloys on a 991 are quite Fuchsy, but more modern. Edit: That's a 991? Looks too much like a Cayman for my taste.

I quite like the Fifteen52 wheels but they look better on an old car.

I'll get new glasses when Porsche make their cars look different from each other.

You mean other than the different body shape, completely differently shaped headlights, completely differently shaped front bumper, different proportions etc.?Jimmy Choo wrote: Tue Nov 20, 2018 9:37 amI'll get new glasses when Porsche make their cars look different from each other.

The new 911 is completely indistinguishable from older models.
