As a kid I would almost suffocate myself I'd wrap up so tightly, and as an adult MrsREV gets well pissed off because I have a technique where I end up in a roll with the duvet tucked under me
Thats it

Reading around these weighted blankets it sounds a little faddy, BS affiliated marketing ad-copy, but I am desperate.

And something to help me actually breath through my nose.
That's exactly my concern. They seem to have appeared suddenly, with loads of people singing their praises.

I'll answer this even though I know this is aimed at Rev

13 tog hollow fibre (just realised how this is the antithesis of a weighted blanked) and alternate between very soft pillows or a memory foam pillow.

With pillows I've tried everything from the cheapest shite off the local market, to very expensive memory foam. They just end up as a mishapen lump after a few weeks that won't return to anything like a pillow shape.

Have either of you tried proper down duvets and pillows?

Pocketed down duvets will drape over and around you in a way that synthetic ones don't. And down pillows can be re-plumped to exactly as they were.

Ever since we switched years ago I've slept completely without issue. Plus it means we can have a lower Tog duvet as the drape of it keeps the mrs feeling warmer, meaning I don't have to sweat my balls off under something that's way too heavy.

That literally has never happened to me, so they must be better at it these days ;)

And that's just the cheap John Lewis special buy stuff.

Definitely tried the pillows and killed them. Even with pillow cases on them I manage to wear out the top layer of fabric, I don't think I'm actually balding, I just wear my hair off moving about. I think our duvets are down, too, but not sure.

“breathe right” nasal strips work for me. Almost totally eliminate snoring too.

Buy a pack. If they work for you - I have a source that is a little cheaper than most.

I rarely have any problems falling asleep as I tend not to go to bed til I am tired, but I am often awake during the night with things spinning round in my head. :(

Are you still running? I find that if I'm mentally exhausted but not physically exhausted, I struggle.
I need to start running again. I felt so much better in so many ways when I was. Things are complicated in my head right now. I'm not OK, but I will be.
If you want a chat (but not at 2am), give me a shout. I can relate to the complicated in the head stuff.

I struggle to get to sleep most days. My default action is to stick the laptop up next to my pillow with Netflix on, the brightness turned down to its lowest possible setting whilst still being 'on' and I'll watch something that I've seen a thousand times before (so that I don't have to concentrate on it). Luckily we have a super-king sized bed, a Tempur Matress, Tempur pillows and decent quality bedding and duvet.

I want to stop using the laptop and switch to a pillow speaker in the pillow case with the radio on, but finding a decent one is proving difficult.

Go to John Lewis, they have loads of tester duvets and you cannot feel a single feather, it’s just a really nice fluffy duvet. Ours we use in winter and summer and it’s around 9 or something. A dry clean once a year and it feels like new.

I've got stuff going on in my head lately and recently added the extra layer to the duvet (that cold spell last week triggered it) and I noticed I was sleeping better but put it down to being warmer. Wonder if it's the weight..
