Stickyish: Phone Pictures Thread

A handy tip for shooting in snow is to over expose a little.

Cameras meter for mid grey, so when the scene is almost all white, they under expose.

Manually knocking the exposure up 1/3 of a stop works wonders in bringing back the whiteness

Can you do that on a phone?

You should be able to. Either in the manual modes of the camera app, or in the photo editing apps once it's been shot (usually best to make these adjustments before you take the photo though)

On my S8, you just tap the right of the phone's screen when you're taking a pic and it brings up a slider to let you change the exposure.

My sister used to live in Morzine and I've always fancied going to the Alps in summer, as I've only ever been in winter.

I was the same til this trip. Been snowboarding a few times and always fancied coming to the Alps in summer. First time in Chamonix too. We’ve had a few days here and heading south tomorrow morning for some loungin’.
