You should be able to. Either in the manual modes of the camera app, or in the photo editing apps once it's been shot (usually best to make these adjustments before you take the photo though)Zonda_ wrote: Sun Jun 24, 2018 10:20 pmCan you do that on a phone?DaveE wrote: Sun Jun 24, 2018 10:09 pm A handy tip for shooting in snow is to over expose a little.
Cameras meter for mid grey, so when the scene is almost all white, they under expose.
Manually knocking the exposure up 1/3 of a stop works wonders in bringing back the whiteness

On my S8, you just tap the right of the phone's screen when you're taking a pic and it brings up a slider to let you change the exposure.

I was the same til this trip. Been snowboarding a few times and always fancied coming to the Alps in summer. First time in Chamonix too. We’ve had a few days here and heading south tomorrow morning for some loungin’.DaveE wrote: Sun Jun 24, 2018 7:29 pm That looks lovely.
My sister used to live in Morzine and I've always fancied going to the Alps in summer, as I've only ever been in winter.
Still not got round to it though![]()

This time last year we were heading out to Morzine for the week. It’s even stunning on a cloudy day.

Quite like this shot of the "Chairoplane" from the steam fair we took the the boy to at the weekend.

His favourite ride was the Austin Cars, however (of course!). The cars themselves have an interesting history as well: http://www.carterssteamfair.co.uk/rides/austincars.html

would look far better with the road level, it’s very pissed at the moment.

It would look even better still if it was photoshopped to make the verticals straight too!
