I cant help with Scotland, the nc500 is still on my bucket list.


Oslo is definitely worth a visit, as is Copenhagen. I did road trip last month, which included a drive from Copenhagen down to Hamburg via the Lolland ferry (which is set to be replaced by a tunnel in a couple of years).

Thanks for all the replies gents - sorry for the late response, snowed under with work.

Does anyone have take on when is too late in the year to try and do it? Like August/September?

For the Scandinavian part I wouldn't leave it later than September. Depending on how far north you're wanting to go, there's a decent chance that the move weather is gone.
