My issue was no stations within the default 15 miles, so you might have to open the radius out if no rows found on first query. There is actually one mom & pop station inside 15 miles but assume a data issue.

Could you DM/whatsapp me the postcode you used Jon?

Clever.. BMW displays the price of the recommended fuel type for your car on the BMW Sat Nav when you have 50 miles range remaining, (their website says these are also updated every 30mins), so I just look for Shell/Tesco near my route. Good name though!
Spotted this morning that the price of fuel displayed on my nav at one particular zoom level - though I had nearly 200 miles' range remaining. Maybe because hybrid.

Ah okay, maybe that’s when it shows, I’d noted it didn’t show up all the time and guessed at the reason
ETA - I usually use CarPlay but have you tried BMW nav? It provides a better representation and more info on the HUD (which lane to be in, a red arrow moving from one lane to the correct one if you’re in the wrong one, junction design etc) and a live, dynamic AR on the driver’s panel with big floating turning arrows.. basically it’s better integrated and makes CarPlay look a bit amateurish (but then I’m a nerd that likes as much info as possible!

)

I posted this on a Loltus forum : feedback :
One further suggestion. If you are out and about you may well not know your postcode.

@IanF I've invariably used Carplay in the past but have stuck to the in-built nav because I think it works out how to apportion the hybrid stuff when it knows where you're going. And I hate that Google Maps now automatically zooms back in but you can't pinch to zoom. I have turned off the HUD completely though; it just annoys me

Why? I didn’t love the HUD in the F-Pace as it was focussed about 1m ahead of the front bumper, so you had to refocus your eyes from the road ahead in order to read it > which pretty much defeats the purpose.

Why? If I want to see my speed, I look at the dashboard. If I want to look at the road I don't want an overlay sat-nav map to distract my eyes as I look out of the windscreen. Gave it more than a week, turned it off yesterday. It duplicates info available elsewhere so it's just a novelty IMO.

I'm working on a native app, that will use GPS. I can also make the postcode search box look for towns, but as previousy alluded to the address data isn't brilliant in the gub'mint service behind all this.
Thanks for the share tho

Tim, thank you - filled up on my way home with super unleaded, 162.9p/l at Tesco, cheaper than Shell V-Power which was 165.9p before Trump pushed prices up.

Glad it helped Jobbo.
Trying to think of ways to at least cover the infrastructure costs of this long-term. I'm going to experiment with dropping google ads in over the next week, and I might stick a "Buy me a litre of Petrol" donation link.
Tricky one as generally people think everything on the internet is free and appears by magic and fairies <looks at Azure bill>.

People are used to adverts so that's got to be a starting point.

Why not self host it Tim? Can't imagine the bandwidth needs are that much?

Now with price trend indicator.
The next update will likely be an expandable timeline of prices for each station.

I'm liking the updates Tim
Apparently the Murco in Woopit are selling SUL at 149.9p, so I might scout it on my motorbike and get them to chuck in a tenner and return in my car if it really is that cheap

The history is great. So all the cvnts round here raised prices immediately as crude oil went up but didn’t drop a penny once they tumbled on Friday. It is highway robbery…
