Are they her friends or yours Mik? Could accidentally get lost enroute and meet the OV9 lot instead?
Mik could suggest to Mrs Mik that they walk past the Lamb and Flag because it's one of London's oldest pubs and by sheer coincidence we're all there

That sounds like a good idea.

Having already met Mrs Mik, I don't think she'll be surprised or deterred.

Mercato Mayfair is a fun stop.. good beer and wine, plus lots of small pop up restaurants over 3 levels (basement has great sushi) for a very reasonable price. Berkeley Sq has all the usual, expensive but not overly good places if you want to play tourist - hakkasan is the best there imho. Best recommendation for a special dinner is Kioku by Endo, which is a Japanese restaurant on top of the new Raffles in the Old War Office building.. you can see Downing Street from there.
The Drawing Room in The OWO is a great spot for breakfast (book in advance).
I used to use it as my morning office space when we were working in the apartments there! Generally very friendly staff and good bacon.

It isn't a joke! It was once a red light district, but it's not anymore, you go to the Dorchester bar on Park Lane if you want a sex worker

Shepherd Market is a historic part of Mayfair, it was once a market and is now the backstreets lined with bars/restaurants where people who work around Mayfair/Piccadilly go for drinks after work to get away from the tourists.

On the other hand, it is a tradition to tell tourists that the stairs are genuinely quicker at Covent Garden

but Jobbo wasn't in on that joke

It would be great but Iām either away or doing things - all my weekends in July are booked up. Bit mean to impose a full Evo beer meet on Mrs Mik though
Having said that we probably ought to arrange oneā¦

Admittedly I havenāt spent much time in the evening in Mayfair for a few years, but the doors were still left ajar with pink lights on in the windows around 2014/5.

When I was running a dealership on Park Lane we would often meet up with the Berkeley Square dealers for a drink at the Mayfair Bar and it was hilarious watching the call girls collect their clients from the bar!

What time of year an s area you staying in? Just in case we can give any local recommendations for food drink etc?

Nice one - end of July and in the Covent Garden area.
And remember, the stairs are quicker than the lift at Covent Garden tube station.
On that note, Angus Steakhouses are absolutely banging
