You're assembling quite a collection of cars now, Jobbo!

Two big black cars will keep you busy cleaning.

I agree that the Macan looks better than the Cayenne, though as large SUVs go, the Cayenne still looks pretty sharp.

I really want a 992.2 GT3 Touring with the rear seats in my own choice of spec. So yes, I could buy a used one but I’m enjoying the thought of getting exactly what I want.

Speccing up your own GT3 touring would be a grand thing to do @Jobbo.

Dave, I think I would go black interior with this paint, or black exterior with this interior, but here's a combo which I love: https://porsche-code.com/PTJW1XJ7

Yeah, but it doesn't seem mad to order PTS on a GT3 to get something individual. I would love it on a base Carrera but it's 10% of the price of the car  Also, Porsche now have a price staircase going on with paint; it's £3,200 for the 'Legends' colours so it's really only £7k more for the chance not to see another the same colour.

Going back to the Cayenne, I may have seemed unenthusiastic when I posted this thread. But my wife loves it and I like it. I particularly like:
- Two sunvisors per side; you fold down one and there's another behind it, so you can use one to shade the side window and one for the windscreen. OK, I know a Mini has two as well but these are cooler.
- Alcantara headlining. I love this and haven't had it since my previous Audi S6.
- HD Matrix headlights. You can discern quite easily where the beams are but it lights up around other traffic in a brilliant way. I'm not convinced it's any better at lighting the road in a useful way than my MX5 lights but it's cool.

There's far too much stuff to play with; the GTS comes with a lot as standard such as sport chrono, air suspension, Bose stereo, the upgraded lights etc - to which I added a fair bit again. I just haven't had half a day to fiddle so far. Expect me to be more enthusiastic when I've got to know it a bit.

Nope nope nope….

Cream leather with light green check fabric centres, a cream headlining, green mats, green stitching and green over cream doorcards with the glovebox lining in the green check too.

There are fewer available options on the GT3 unless you go off menu and pay through the nose for special wishes. You can fuck up the interior of a normal Carrera quite easily though for about £10-15k

Is Mrs Jobbo happy with it? That's the only criteria that really matters here.

And bagsy a P-ride in the GT3!

That is very very lovely. With the GT3 Touring you can't seem to add the coloured leather to the bucket seats in the configurator; if you select the buckets and then change the colour it forces you back into the normal seats. So that'll be a spendy spec.

Yes she is - very 8-) And my stepson who sells BYDs finally stopped trying to suggest we buy one of those instead. He likes it too.

GT3 is a way off yet, and not definite; I haven't been given the opportunity to pay a deposit even.

I really enjoyed the Macan GTS we had and any loan X5 I've had over the years. I can totally see the attraction of having one of those alongside a traditional type sports car.
Cheers,

There were a selection of BYDs outside Warehouse 4 in Gloucester Docks. Whatever the small one is looks horrifically cheap inside. The Seal was quite tasteful.
