I’m not in favour of the death penalty, but at this point what help do you think could be given to him?

Impossible to say without knowing what’s wrong with him.

As I said his motives are not clear so it doesn't directly relate to him - there was a wider point about prevention of terrible acts like this and it is a part of the picture that without control over your borders you don't know whether convicted offenders or those on terror or sanctions lists have not entered into your country illegally.
is it cos he’s black?
Nicely exemplifying why no serious society wide conversion about any of the above matters can be had. Hopefully that makes you feel good and progressive.
This cunt was born in Cardiff to parents who came here (from what i can find) legally. Other than him have a funny name and black skin, why bring up illegal immigration in relation to the case?

Mate, you brought up immigration in a thread with nothing to do with immigration except that his parents are from Rwanda.

Unless you think people who legally immigrate here shouldn’t be allowed in case they have mentally ill children?

He’s murdered three kids and is unlikely to ever see the light of day again. What’s the point in helping him?

Because he’s ill?

We don’t hold medical treatment for good people only.

However we do remove freedoms based upon severity of crimes.

You think prisoners shouldn’t get medical treatment?

Treat them if they can be fixed.

Listening to the sentencing. He stabbed one girl 80+ times and another 120+ times. I think any mental health resources should be diverted to the victims and families.

He was nine day short of his 18th birthday when he committed the crimes, meaning he avoid a whole life term.

Otherwise, he's got about 14 life sentences with minimum term of 52 years

Where the hell did you get that from? I'm talking about sentencing.

I couldn’t think of any other context that it had any relation to what I said. My only comment on sentencing was that I’m not a fan of the death penalty. Looking into this kid more, he has autism. Based on that I’m even less into the idea of killing him for convenience.

I can’t see any practical use or happy outcome from any level of psychiatric help given to this monster, but i also see your point of view on it.

Surely he’ll spend the rest of his days in a secure psychiatric hospital somewhere?

He’s murdered three kids and will end up in a British Prison - he's unlikely to ever see 2026
fixed that for you...

You would hope but more people go into prison than should really.

My pov on this specifically is that it’s a failure in oversight as well as a terrible crime.

He had been referred to services that deal with violent people before but we’re so obsessed with terrorism that he was declined as his ideation wasn’t ideological apparently.

Like I said earlier on, if we had decent, integrated mental health services we may have been able to stop him doing something like this. Rather than just picking up the pieces.

I can't see him lasting long in prison unless significant additional resources are put into keeping him isolated anyway.

I know that’s a common stereotype and I’m sure he’ll get a lot of grief, but have there actually been many cases of high risk prisoners getting killed by other prisoners?

Certainly been plenty of attempts. They are ingenious when it comes to fashioning weapons out of anything!
