Both cars are fine

I had then in storage for just under 3 years, while I didn't have a garage to keep them in. With life being busy, I didn't get to drive them while they were in storage either. I got the 968 back in June and the M3 in August, but things were still too busy and inconvenient to use them.

Now that I'm doing a bit of travelling and winter is here, they're remaining SORN'd/SORNED/STATUTORY OFF ROAD NOTIFICATIONED.

I thought lots on them would be broken when they got started up again for the first time, but to my surprise they both woke back up with no issues (the hydraulic pumps and actuators on the M3 being a particular worry)

I've been a full on bike wanker for years now, but I'm really looking forward to getting to drive them alot again!

Ahhh, okay, didn't realise you were big on bikes now! Nice that theyr'e all good though.

Anyway, let's all put Sunday 2nd March in the diary for the meet. I'll look for locations and roads over the coming months as I'm going to be driving that area a lot from now on!

Unfortunately that rules me out (I procrastinated on the voting), as it is my daughter's birthday.

Wife's birthday in between the two weekends and I don’t know what we're doing yet, but 2nd is probably the most likely best option for me so I'll stick it in the diary and try to swing it.

I’m no good at organising anything that far in advance, hopefully someone will bump it up as we get closer.

Be nice to go to something less than a couple of hours away for a change 😄

Like Marv, if anyone in the area just wants a small informal one in the area at all, let me know, I’ll try and pop along.

Polite of you lot to wait three years before organising a meet an hour's drive from where I used to live!

HFYBOC.

I'll make sure this keeps bumped and pushed up in the new year too so we all get as much warning as possible to keep it in the diary.

Pandemic and building a house kind of slowed down my travelling, but don't worry I'm basically sabbatical until August next year

Yes bump bump bump! My brain has been out of whack with all these court hearings the last few weeks.

This is next weekend who’s up for it? I’m good to meet and find a location - I’m thinking somewhere in the Sudbury Bury Newmarket triangle.

Bah. I'm double booked on 2nd March now :(

Getting pretty desperate to get the 911 outside the confines of the M25...

I don't know the roads around there terribly well but do know some good pubs - Swan at Lavenham famous and the George in Cavendish always used to be very good but I haven't been in ages.

Here's a plan @tim @integrale_evo @JonMad @Explosive Newt and anyone else who can make it.

Maglia Rosso coffee shop looks like it has a load of parking, it's open all morning and caters to cyclists, which usually means good coffee. Meet there 11am - have a coffee and a chinwag.

Then drive directly (or indirectly) to a pub such as The Queen's Head or The George Cavendish which both look like banging pubs. The Queen's Head hosts classic car meets (the next one is this Sat) so would be a very apt place for us to grab a bite.

As for roads I found the B1066 and B1063 might be worth a look in, the B1066 goes directly towards the pubs too.
