You can be fairly efficient with an induction hob, but if you're cooking them quick like that you might as well use the microwave (which I normally do too). They are better if cooked at a bit more of a leisurely pace, but who has time for that kind of decadence...

Alright, calm down old man.
I am eternally youthful in heart and mind (if not body) and as such, I'm fine with beans.
(also, microwave)

Hob! Only animals would use a micro
You're surrounded by animals.
Also... #TeamMicrowave - however the Heinz Beans plastic pots are too saucy for me. Bean/Sauce ratio is far worse than tinned.

Branston beans here, changed from Heinz around 5 years ago. Sainsburys own are horrid. How much do M&S sting you for them?

IIRC they're 50p a tin, a glorious bargain.

Anyone who microwaves their beans has a special 8th level of hell awaiting them.
Condemned for eternity to eat beans with the consistency of water, where the sauce is hotter than hell but the beans themselves are cold and half of every spoonful spills on your leg

I think you need a new microwave and what the hell are you doing eating them with a spoon?

One minute zap, stir, one minute zap, stir, leave to sit 30 seconds. Done. Heated through nicely.
If you’re having to do them on the hob to boil off excess water there was too much water in the first place.

In the microwave for me. We’re talking about baked beans, this is not an a la carte thread.

Baked beans are too delicate for stirring. You fold them over carefully in the pot, like you are gently rolling over a beautiful lady in your bed. With the electric blanket on full.

They probably boil sausages and heat bacon on an iron.

The best beans are probably the ones that have been heating in a pot for a while in a greasy spoon. Softens the beans, tightens up the matrix... it's what they were designed for.
