Nice
So Jimmy, who did you have to sleep with to get this invite?
It was actually promising not to sleep with people.

I've just got off a lengthy hotlap session on Assetto Corsa. Driving the MP4-12C around Silverstone and applying what I'd learned, the car has stopped being such a bastard and is now reasonable. On top of that, I've shaved 0.8 seconds off my best lap time and I've been able to lap consistently at that pace.

Using real world experience to get better at online racing? Damn, I thought it was the other way round

Every day I’ve remembered ‘gentle hands’ and forgotten to mention it on here by the time I get to work.
Also every journey I’m holding the steering wheel properly after being disciplined on Monday. Wonder how long it will take me to revert to one finger?

NO!
Once reminded how to steer properly - a la Andy Walsh - thou shalt not revert!

There’a not a lot of steering required driving down the M5 in active cruise/lane keeping
I’m quite looking forward to seeing how unworn and unpolished my steering wheel is at 100k miles.

Mark Webber in the reasonably priced car said exactly that many times and I do try and remember it.
Experience day looks amazing, if I ever do get a cheap Boxster from a back street garage, not sure they will agree to throw one in though!

Sounds like the school rules that my kids had at infants. Gentle hands, indoor voices, shining hearts and something else that I can't remember.
I'm still surprised that I never felt like using the paddles or that the car was ever in the wrong gear.
