Just heard that the hypercars are homologated. Are there road legal versions of these?!
Got to agree, the new rules made the hypercars very close and changeable conditions always make for good entertainment 😁

I always find watching the scenes in the winning garage at the end a bit emotional, but the Italians take it to another level

It's one of these races that I've never immersed myself in sufficiently - mainly as it needs some fairly significant commitment to do so. Just popping in every few hours to check the status isn't sufficient.

Leading 4 cars separated by <38 seconds over a 24hr period is bananas. 8-)

One year I'll do it justice..... :?

Best way to get immersed is go there, you'll understand then 😁

I’ve been lucky enough to go twice, actually being there and just trying to stay awake for the whole time is an effort, god knows how they manage to set consistent lap times towards the end.

The P2 Toyota driver (Jennifer Lopez?) seemed to struggle with consistency, I think had he not kept going off, spinning and all that he’d have pushed the Ferrari to finish its fuel. But I believe he was a last minute replacement for Mike Conway.

Maybe Porsche were the biggest losers in all this - whenever I tuned in it started raining and Porsche kept their drivers out on slicks and they lost 30 seconds a lap for many laps - a real wtf moment.

BMW need some better drivers.

Not sure what Alpine are doing in all this. They can’t run a F1 team and evidently can’t run a WEC team either. LMP2 based car with F2 engine FFS.
Only to be almost beaten in stupidity by the other French entrant - Peugeot with their flawed ground effect car which wasn’t successful last year so they stuck wings on it and made it even worse - I believe it had a massive BoP boost over the other cars too.
The American pronunciation “Poo-geot” is apt.
How about not having a sig at all?
