Suggestion that Chris Harris has left Collecting Cars here - no idea if it is accurate?

He must have enough of a profile to start putting stuff out himself.

Not sure that he would be a good fit with Hagerty, there were a few American youtubers who pulled their partnerships as it wasn't working for them and got the impression that Hagerty are quite strict on what they put out.

Maybe its contractual issues with his new BBC thing and can't be seen promoting commercial enterprises?

I still don't understand how CC is a thing. Upward of £7k per advert that seeminly offers nothing that PH and AT don't do for £20 other than add a timer. Crazy.

Edit - yes I'm aware that it's free to list, buyer pays it.

They massively undervalued my mx5, circa £7k less than a car on autotrader that had done 20k more miles and was standard.

Yip, I thought there was an issue with the feed but looks like he's just moved on to pastures new (again).

It's utterly pretentious beyond words and a certain type lap it up. Money for old rope.

Are you talking about the podcast or the auction website? Applies to both but the podcast is oddly enjoyable.

Did Porter list his RR on CC? Maybe that's a(nother) reason for the departure of the Monkey, not wanting to be associated with the ongoing saga of the sale.

Must have missed this...what happened to Porter and his RR?

This is as much as is known (I'll have to go back and see if it was CC);

I did wonder why there’s been no content for the last 5 or so weeks. ‘Twas a good podcast, can’t see it being the same without ‘arris.

I don't find the podcast particularly pretentious TBH, what about it do you think is pretentious?

It’s a decent bunch of quite privileged chaps of a certain age - it’s pretty pretentious generally. But I enjoy it.

I gave up on it ages ago after the more annoying ones (there's a couple) would just talk over the top of the rest and one old fart would just bang on about how Japanese cars are all souless.

My limited podcast time is far better spent on Smith n Sniff.
