Co-incidentally I also looked at this and thought it had aged really nicely, looks like a real classic.

Not just the obvious rust, but the orange peel too. That's been "fixed" at least once before. I'll put money on that wheel arch being largely filler.

I like that cabover but can't help thinking that cutting a few feet off it and sticking a big engine in the back is the way to go.

If it's solid in important places and cheap, fvck it; plod it, lash it, use it and enjoy not having to be precious about it.
