He could bring the compact in the back of the Galaxie.

I've put my dates in and am prepared to bring the least evo car for the second time. Last time i had the Mini One Clubman with a slipping clutch. This time I'd be bringing a heavy diesel automatic. 8-)

Edited to ensure @Sundayjumper doesn't bring a Ford MPV.

Can we vote for which cars people have to bring if they have a selection to choose from?

I've seen both the Aston and 996 so my vote would be the Galaxy - not sure its the practical choice however!!

And i would have got away with it if it wasn't for you pesky kids!

You could bring the Galaxie and @DeskJockey could bring the Galaxy for no other reason than it would mildly amuse me.

You make a pretty compelling argument there, I can go along with that (as long as the weather is good).

Done. I’d probably be in the diesel rather than the wife’s SUV. Think the lightweight rwd manual option (Jimny) is probably a bit slow.

This reminds me - what happened to the MX5 you had for years? Did that depart?

Sold it (for a nice profit) a few years ago after 7 or 8 years of ownership. It wasn’t being used. I do miss it, but I miss the first one I had more. I’d quite like a current shape MX5 with the 184bhp engine but I know it wouldn’t get used much and wouldn’t hold its value in the same way. The Jimny fulfils the same role (old small Japanese car which doesn’t get used much) 😄

I saw one in the same colour with the same white wheels a couple of days ago funnily enough. I did like that car. Where did yours go? Do you know?

Ooh, I think the chap was from Northants direction so perhaps it was my old car. I can’t even tell you the registration sadly; when I took my plate back off, the DVLA issued a different reg to the one it originally had (L49XLP) - maybe it’s a policy not to reissue plates which are shorter than 7 characters?

Can I solve the 'which care should SJ bring' dilemma by selflessly volunteering to drive his Aston?

Poll polled. I don't have my job plan beyond 10th September so there is a risk I might be working one of those weekends.

My Galaxy isn't exactly the vehicle for a fun drive. It is capable, competent and comfortable, but it isn't something you chuck down a b-road for fun.

I do love that Aston. I think it's incredibly underrated as a car design. When I saw SJs at the rolling road day, I was really quite taken with it.
