Do you have clients in that room Jobbo ??
In my humble opinion, it's not a great look really.

Only if the client happens to know that it's a Harris and is offended by the fact that it is.

Is that a risk worth taking for a painting ?
There are other paintings - Richard Mcneil does some lively pictures of London - £200 in John Lewis...

Is that a stash of kitchen rolls in the fireplace (presumably toilet rolls were in the middle and they were used up more quickly)?
London?!

I think you need to view the photo on a bigger screen
Dinny, if a client recognises it as a Rolf Harris then I'm sure they'll have the same view of it as I do: it's a good painting and the fact that it was painted by someone who lost favour does not detract from that.

Funnily enough Jobbo, my company used to have one of the units in your business park. The "Northern" MD chose it as our northern office (bearing in mind we do expensive city centre type office fit outs).
We fired him when he turned out to be shit, shut it down and set one up in central Manchester instead. It's a nice location - but not at all for what we actually needed!

We have an old stable at the front of it - most of the units are lodges which are more spacious but I like the character of ours. That's not where the photo shows though; that's our second office in Stourbridge.
Manchester is certainly a much more vibrant commercial centre than Stafford but it would have been an absolute shitter for me to commute to

1950s London, yes - are you commening on the suitability of a picture of London in a market town in the Midlands?

Of course - your office, your decision...

Indeed I am, that it is more contentious than the artist. As you say, you may "why Rolf? because painting" but ye cannae "why London? because Rolf".

The House of Lords was the predecessor to the Supreme Court as the highest court in the U.K. And is visible in that picture. Perfectly justifiable for a law firm

That could perhaps be a very lawyerly comment about diminished responsibility or some other technical defence but, somehow, I think not.

Is you tripped and accidentally put your penis in her cat repeatedly a legal defence?.. asking for a friend obviously..
