If I look that young at 64 I will be pretty chuffed. I am not sure I look that young now tbh :D

Yeh I think that Oscar India would be one of the cheapest but still again trending upward toward 6 figures for a good one.

In case you were thinking of booking to do that particular rally, I would caution against doing so for that particular AM V8. The paint was in particularly poor condition and it kept cutting out if you came to a stop in drive so you had to either left foot brake and keep the revs up or slip into neutral. I think it is also a 3 spd autobox which ruined the drive - you could kind of get around it by keeping it in L (i.e. first) and then moving to 2, essentially using it like a manual.

Oh - the gear selector button popped off at one point as well and flew across the car. As you couldn't change our of drive without it it was a fun scramble to locate it and then jam it back in so at one point I had to keep my left hand on the gear selector to stop the button springing out, brake with my left foot, keep revs on with the right and steer with the right hand. Not the effortless drive AM were probably aiming for

That’s pretty common in my experience (about 8-10 cars). The crap three speed has loads of drag when you come to a standstill an if the engine isn’t set up well they die.
They’re disappointing to drive other than as a manual coupe.

The build quality is pretty shonky - the DB6 before it feels far better put together.

Which one's you and which one's your Dad... :D
I have to say, your Dad, assuming he has the beard, looks suspiciously young!
Old enough for the Beatles to write a song about being decript at that age

He was 27 when I was born so had kids reasonably young. Also a reasonably flattering picture
You could pass for brothers/mates!

It’d be the Aston for me, love that shape.
