If it's anything like the system in NZ then it is very localised. We've had a few with covid lockdowns and a cyclone that covered entire regions but the tsunami warnings can be different down to which bay you live in within the same city.

30 seconds after the alarm, I had the grab bag, wife, kids and dogs in the Landy and we were all blacking up ready to live in the woods.

A bit disappointed in our response time but one of the dogs was sleeping.
