Under £10k… how many issues are there to fix?
£9k on the nose. A bad eBay listing.
The only issue so far is a bit of a wobble in the steering around 70mph, a missing wheel trim and one window switch is broken. And it all needs a good clean.
The drive is very luxurious

Creamy smooth engine. And it doesn’t half shift once the revs pick up. They were the fastest saloon in the world when first released. 195mph
It has engine:

Nice purchase, very brave
So my dad bought a Maser Quatroporte and my brother bought a Bentley Flying Spur on
the same fucking day. I’m really letting the side down when it comes to cars

At £9k, there'll be people buying Bentleys for spare parts for their Phaetons!

Can you fit a towbar to a Spur?
Are you going to use it instead of the Compact?
Are you going to use it at all?

Ah, unavailability of towbar was reason for sale.

Fun purchase!

To save t'others from trawling ebay to figure out what we're on about

here's the links.
I wasn't really looking for one of these, they were barely on my radar as a decent one is more like £15k+, but in my recent barge browsing some cheap ones cropped up a couple of times and in particular this one caught my eye as apparently having some big work done (the vacuum lines mentioned are an engine-out job) and a sensible mileage/price/colour:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325547320349
I pondered maybe going to see it but it sold almost immediately. Que sera, I thought, and moved on.
Then this got listed:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/234933010560
Hang on. That looks & sounds familiar.
Terrible listing, zero effort in the presentation but it looked very smart in the original ad. The non-availability of a tow bars sounds like a ridiculous excuse and I'm highly suspicious of cars getting moved on after a very short time, but this was literally just a couple of weeks after buying from a dealer. If the car really was fcuked then you'd still be shouting at the dealer at that point, not taking a £2k bath. So I took a punt. I was the only bidder.
Seller turned out to be a totally genuine older bloke, salt of the earth type, very chatty and was clearly a bit disappointed to be selling it but had already bought an S-Class (with a tow bar) and needed the Bentley gone. He'd recently got a new caravan - hence the need for a tow car.
I've just been out fiddling about with it. It still seems good. I ran a full check with the scanner and it came up with LOADS of errors but mostly stuff that would tie in with a flat battery. Cleared them all and the only one that comes straight back is a random "control module network" code. I'll investigate it but it doesn't sound too serious. We're going out tomorrow so it'll get another decent run and I'll see what happens.
Sat nav is archaic but works, and is still running on a 2005 map disc even though the car is from late 2006. I'll get whatever is the last edition. I won't use it much but it's nice to have as a backup in case my phone dies.
So end of day #1 of Bentley ownership. Nothing has gone wrong yet.

This is better than the nauseating Power Beauty Soul on the other car.
