Yes, by a celica I meant the celica they pulled all of the bits out of, but I thought that would have been fairly obvious

I didn't think they could make 35mins of *that* entertaining, but they still manage it.

I was wondering beforehand how long they would spend making brackets and guessed 14 hours. I was wrong.

My dad is mirroring my own previous impatience (I've long since gone past that and just like watching them dick about making stuff).

When I sent him the link this morning, his reply on Whatsapp was: "just put the fucking engine and transmission in NOW!!!"

Next episode: half an hour on making a sump gasket.

It's great to watch but it's blatantly obvious that they're stringing it out. At least an episode every 2-ish months means we get updates when we can still remember the last one!

But it's their best interests to string it out for as long as possible, isn't it. It's a promo for a business. They need to emphasise every small detail as that might be the only thing a potential customer is interested in.

I say this every time but people seem to need reminding (not you Jobbo before you unleash legal hell on me).

Personally I like to think they've generated so much business from their vids that they don't have the time to work on something that is an inhouse project rather than for a customer, no matter how much of a following it has generated.

It’s great, these guys spend 15 hours making brackets for a brand new custom wiper install, 99.9% of builds wouldn’t even consider this as something to address.

why would you want them to rush past this sort of detail? That’s the exact point of this series. I’m not particularly interested in/looking forward to watching them drive the finished article and telling us how it feels.

I loved the wiper linkage. Did think he was a bit shoddy on his trig though; 44/sin(57) would have given him the answer straight away.

There must be a limit to the number of things they can make an interesting half hour video about, though; hence my sump gasket comment.

I'm looking forward to the many, many hours to make the brackets for the washer jets and the associated plumbing.
