I don't over think it and just go on whatever the implied flavour will be (irish, chilli, apple, etc) and just wang 'em in the air frier then stick them up my arse when they've cooled a bit.

Our local butcher makes his own pork link sausages and they are superb. Definitely my go-to. I'm more likely to buy a half-lorne from him though (aka skware sossij) as it's absolutely awesome.

Otherwise for a quick & nasty - Richmonds do the job. WIll try these tesco ones on the above recommendation.

I do also enjoy a good cumberland, and a nice spicy sausage, but no particular brands that I aim for there.

I get ours from the local butcher or Keelham Farm Shop, both are good in different ways.

The Welsh dragon ones at the butchers are super, bit of spice to them, and great in a sandwich with some reggae reggae sauce on them

I find the skins to be to thick on Heck snags. They're made nearby to where I live.

Can't beat good butchers sausages over supermarket brands. Richmond and similar can FRO!!

For many, many years, sausages have been one of the few things I've missed about the UK. NZ sausages are fecking awful by comparison.

However, recently either my standards have dropped or I've found decent stuff. Pork and fennel from one particular brand at the supermarket, or I just scored some wagyu, vennison and bacon efforts direct from one of the big cattle stations down South which are great.

I obviously need to come back and recalibrate however, just for quality control purposes.

Reading this thread has made me want a sausage sandwich but I haven't got any

Probably a decade ago Sainsburys used to do an amazing Chorizo based sausage (but still a sausage rather than actual Chorizo). There has been similar since but it never recaptured the glory of the original.

Other than that, I get all sorts of different sausages from Butchers and supermarkets, but nothing really where I've thought one was head and shoulders above the competion to a memorable 'must buy again' level.

They are cheap nasty shit and do not deserve to be called a sausage.

I only mentioned Richmonds when I was recommending the similarly cheap Woodside Farms ones because they are no comparison; Richmonds have no flavour or texture. I am not generally a fan of the cheap sausage which is why the Woodside Farms sausages were a surprise to me.

Richmond are indeed, muck.

Inspired by this thread, I had a (Mortons) roll with Co-Op's Chipolata's for my lunch.
