Your Coffee Machine Running Reports
Re: Your Coffee Machine Running Reports
I have a nespresso. I barely use it but the mrs makes about 10 cups a day with it
I also spend all day, every day at work at the mercy of customers. Most have some sort of supermarket own brand instant shite so most of the coffee I drink is terrible

I've had a delonghi magnifica s for about a year now and it gets used probably 3 or 4 times a day. Makes superb coffee straight from the bean. Highly recommended.
If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

I have Yorkshire Gold teabags at home.

Dad jokes at its finestSundayjumper wrote: Thu Sep 15, 2022 9:27 pmTrue story - at the supermarket one time, queuing up at the checkout, the bloke in front of me dropped a jar of instant coffee which smashed and went all over the floor. I didn't say anything.
23 minutes later, on my way home, I realised I should have said "Ah ! So I guess that's GROUND coffee now !"
Don't worry about Bean(y), he's just trying to roast you.

I have a Moccamaster in brick red that I bought after asking on here, think it was @ZedLeg that shared the link, totally happy, make a jug in the morning then into a 70s thermos so I can top up through the morning

Snap! I got a s/h one back in 2016 and have used it daily since. Replaced a pump back in 2020 and it’s a bit clunky, but still makes good espresso all dayDelphi wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 12:32 am I've had a delonghi magnifica s for about a year now and it gets used probably 3 or 4 times a day. Snap x2, that’s what I’ve just retired. I bought it on gavster’s recommendation and it worked great for five years. I’m sure I could have sought out another one on eBay but I felt like trying something different.Gavster wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 8:15 amSnap! I got a s/h one back in 2016 and have used it daily since. Today is the first proper day with the new machine. I’ll update later. So far it’s only done one test cup for the wife.

I got this one. Reusable Coffee Capsule, Compatible with Bosch Tassimo Machines, Coffee Filter Refillable, Coffee Pods with Readable Barcode https://amzn.eu/d/9C1DKvb
Works well enough, the wife managed to lose the measurement spoon though

Dolce Gusto here. On our third one.
I have an AeroPress that I used when I was in an office, but have hardly used it since being back at home.

Beany has always been a wrong 'un.
I like coffee but I'd struggle to justify spending more than I've spent on a car on a coffee machine.

Same. AeroPress is great in the office or staying in hotels etc.JonMad wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 9:02 am I have an AeroPress that I used when I was in an office, but have hardly used it since being back at home.
Re: Your Coffee Machine Running Reports
You misspelled 'ass'. Big sack of Yorkshire Tea bags at the office, though the weirdos drink Douwe Egberts there. I do keep a jar of Nescafe Cap Colombie at home for any guests who don't want tea, but it probably lasts a couple of years. It's bizarre to see there are so many coffee lovers among us

Re: Your Coffee Machine Running Reports
I do like coffee, but I have realised I don’t like it enough to bother with a faff when I am at home.Jobbo wrote: Fri Sep 16, 2022 11:16 am [ It's bizarre to see there are so many coffee lovers among us![]()

Re: Your Coffee Machine Running Reports
I've been using Taylors Coffee Bags, which I initially bought by accident, but have continued with as they are decent and faff free.
I dont really use the coffee machine anymore, too much effort.

Work - Sage Barista
The engineers who think they run the place have put up a multi-step flow chart on grind size etc but no matter what I do I can't get the pressure in the espresso zone. I blame the crappy "mellow" beans that they buy.
Home - Delonghi Magnifica
Kind of works if you hold the front of it in but still makes worrying clicking noises. But I can choose my own beans so I have that going for me.
