If you get all wobbly-lipped about the opinion of Internet strangers, maybe it's time to take a bath with the toaster as you'll never amount to sh1t anyway.

Re: Shit businesses
This is perhaps a silly question, but have you asked 'why'? Is it just a complete pain in the arse?Delphi wrote: Tue Aug 02, 2022 9:33 amI've got a lead about a company in Doncaster that's done some classic Bentleys and I've got to speak to a specialist up in Knaresborough. Strangely, the last company I contacted had recently posted about a 944 restoration they'd done which is why I got in touch. The guy literally said "Oh no, I wouldn't go near a 928"mik wrote: Tue Aug 02, 2022 9:23 am @Delphi have you asked any of the PCGB guys? This is exactly the kind of info that was shared on there when I had the 944 (some years back now mind).
End of the day I don't recall the 928 being special in terms of how it's put together - it's a monocoque coupe with some aluminium panels, not some fancy pants space age composite job secured using electromagnets and fairy dust...

Re: Shit businesses
I think I might have found somewhere - currently doing another 928 (another 1987 Grand Prix White S4) recommended to me by a Porsche specialist in Knaresborough. They do Astons, Ferraris, TVRs and Porsche. Already given me a ball park over the phone and even their top end pricing isn't out of the way. I'm going to pop up and see them next week, but it's looking hopeful!
