Re: Fads
Back in the noughties gin was my secret weapon at parties, nobody would touch it. I could leave bottle in the kitchen at a party and it would remain untouched whilst every other type of alcohol around it got destroyed. It was heinously unfashionable.

When I was online dating it seemed like every girl had some reference to liking gin in their profile, on a platform where the objective is to stand out from the rest..
Any kind of bandwagon jumping puts me off people tbh.

Always thought this was a potential life mistake as I looked at them 30 years ago.
Wait, did I think that out loud?
Re Gin, I think it's more 'fancy gins' - it started with bathtub gins about fifteen years ago, and moved into flavoured gins etc.
Not my think but I know a few people who I like but traditionally wouldn't come out for a pint - but will come out if a raspberry gin is on offer, which I don't mind at all.

I was partial to a bottle of Blue Moon, never bothered with the fruit in the glass though.Swervin_Mervin wrote: Wed May 04, 2022 2:25 pmSame!ZedLeg wrote: Wed May 04, 2022 1:53 pm Admittedly, I never found a drink I didn't like but I was a big fan of both gin and craft beers![]()

I do remember getting quite into cheap liebfraumilch when I was a kid, mostly because it was absolutely the cheapest way to get hammered without resorting to onion cider. Could get a 1.5l bottle at my local Haddows for about £4, who could've predicting me growing up to have a drinking problem
