Maserati Ghibli Turbo had one many many years ago I am sure.

You could wear your Global Hypercolour T-shirt while driving it!

I don’t like the 90’s version either.

Peak Pantera for me was the GT5S, with the blended wide arches and (unlike the Countach) essential big wing on the back.

Mainly ‘cos Fast Lane magazine held it in such high regard, and also ‘cos I saw (and more often heard) one that lived in the West End of Glasgow when I was at uni, and I thought it was immense. 8-)

I always thought I liked the GT5 with the stuck-on wide arches but there's some poor detailing on the rear arch, so perhaps the GT5S is my preferred late model now. None looks as good at the unadorned original though.

It was a bit of a 90s thing. The Shamal had one

And I even remember a bodykit for the ZX 16v that had one - I really wanted a kitted ZX at the time! I can't remember whether it was Zender or someone else

That's probably peak wide-body for me, and what I would have lusted over most in my youth. As time's gone by though I now much prefer the clean lines of the original. It's the purest and best looking Italian sports car for me - just pipping the early Countach.

Yep that's filth, apart from the front indicators which look like an afterthought.

Thanks all for the kind words. Taste is very subjective: as mentioned, I prefer the Countach with a wing and flared arches (albeit not the Anniversary) but the original Pantera does it for me. Whereas the original Countach has 215 width tyres (from memory) which look a bit weedy, it's perfectly possible to fit 275 rears on a narrow-body Pantera, which is what I have ordered and which make it look pretty purposeful. (The ones on it at the moment are 295, which I suspect may foul the arches).

And yes, the front indicators look like an afterthought, because they probably are (although they are definitely the original style) - the Internet suggests that they come from a Fiat 850 Spider. But it wouldn't be a 1970s Italian supercar without some borrowed parts and some design failings (aka 'character').

Yes. You would likely have a podium though.

Let be honest, with or without this thread it was going to be an Italian result.

This thread has confirmed it, however. Top work @JonathanE 8-)
