Re: Fireworks this year...
Apparently they went on until 2am, the local Facebook groups are on fire this morning

Re: Fireworks this year...
Ah yeah, I forgot about Diwali. I forget for that and Ramadan every year and wonder why folk are setting off fireworks on a random weekday.
An absolute unit

Re: Fireworks this year...
Unsurprisingly, here in Suffolk I haven’t heard any since New Year’s Eve.
Cheers, Harry

We’ve just ordered a noise-reducing “snood” thing for our middle dog. The 2 dogs that have been with us since pups don’t give a monkeys about fireworks, but rescue dog hates them. And of course - we don’t know if there was a specific experience that triggered this.Gavster wrote: Tue Oct 25, 2022 10:14 am"My pets/selfish people/should be banned/we'll have this again next week"

There's been a murder!
Re: Fireworks this year...
They started at ten to midnight
Re: Fireworks this year...
Not been to bad here, strangely. Quiet now.

I love reading the Facebook local groups in the morning
Someone moaning that their special pet/child/alien is crying over some bangs in the night. Jesus wept.

How about not having a sig at all?

It's been fun watching the Canarians let rip with the fireworks. The reverberation off the cliffs and hotels was something else.Mito Man wrote: Sun Jan 01, 2023 12:29 am I love reading the Facebook local groups in the morning

It’s been pretty subdued this year but I reckon it’s because the weather has been so shit. I’m surprised the London fireworks looked as good as they did plus all the little drones managed to hold position as it was 40+ mph winds!

Nowt wrong with considering others, or being able to tell the timeMito Man wrote: Sun Jan 01, 2023 12:29 am I love reading the Facebook local groups in the morning

The biggest bangs here were the ones that started early. I can see quite a distance from here, there was much more light than sound overall, as far as the eye can see. Much prettiness and happiness
Ramsgate cancelled their display because of the weather - as I'm sure many places across the country did - but we had a lucky lull in the wind and rain here for a while.
