Re: Knives (cooking type)
You jest but I took a tiny slice off the back of my knuckle the other days while dicing an onion and it was so painless I didn't know it had happened until the onion went red. And then fuck me it bled and it bled. So easy to do!
Re: Knives (cooking type)
They joys of razor sharp knives! I've "bumped" my fingers with some of mine occasionally and thought "phew" only for seconds later to notice blood gushing out. The only positive is that you really don't feel anythingKiwiDave wrote: Tue Jan 19, 2021 6:30 amYou jest but I took a tiny slice off the back of my knuckle the other days while dicing an onion and it was so painless I didn't know it had happened until the onion went red. Re: Knives (cooking type)
My chef’s knife fell off the counter a while back and I instinctively reached for it!!!
Thankfully I subconsciously stopped myself but I would have cut to the bone if I caught it

Am I the only who finds that really sharp knives give the heebie-geebies? I don't think I'd be comfortable being around something that potent.

No - they’re really cool.

If you’re worried, get a razor sharp knife and a mail glove
Re: Knives (cooking type)
It's really nice! Feels like a child's toy after being used to using a cleaver most of the time. Diced some onions, carrots and mushrooms last night to cook with some mince and it was a joy to use.mik wrote: Wed Jan 20, 2021 9:51 pm No - they’re really cool.

Stunned at the quality for £21. I will be ordering one or two others to add to the collection now.
Re: Knives (cooking type)
Knife arrived today, no charges, chopped potatoes for tea like they weren’t there, brushed thumb when going to wash knife, lost about a pint so far! Fuck it’s sharp!
